These German made knives are top quality and will last you at least 26 years. How do I know? Because I have owned a Henckels Zwilling 4 Star chef knife I bought in Germany in 1990 for that long. And it still holds a sharp edge and shows minimal wear. I had a set of Henckels International knives, and they didn't last 10 years before the handle rivets broke off. So do yourself a favor and buy a set of Henckels Zwilling 4 Star knives. They are used by professional chefs for years at a time. Get a small block and just buy the knives you need. I never used half the knives that came with my Henckels International knife set.

They do have a life time warranty, but the knife shops of old have gradually gone out of business making it near impossible to get replacements. Thank goodness for Amazon...they never let me down!

I like the solid forge, this knife is not as sharp as Henkle bird beek type paring knife..but it's still alright. Maneuverability is better with curvier center arched handles..on this the pinky curve helps-but isn't EZ enough for my old hands, which are lg and long fingered and elderly. Overall a decent knife from a good company.

I got this knife because I had one years ago. I had a complete set of Henckels that I got about 30 years ago, and they were still excellent knives. My eldest son wanted them, so I gave them to him. I also love the new set I got, but the shorter paring knife didn't come with it...so...I decided to purchase this one. My original one was 3.5" long and this one is 3.0". I LOVE it. It is perfect for my smaller hand. It fits nicely into my hand; and, it is a Henckels! What's not to like?

Fabulous tool, non-slip handle, easy to use. We've done without for years and had empty holes in our knife block. This matched the remaining knives we had so we now have a full set. And, a big deal was that the block we already had includes a slot for a cook's scissors (and the scissors) and it seems as though most of the blocks out there now don't do this which seems a shame as that's the tool used as frequently as any (not only for the food but also for those pesky plastic packages always needing to be ripped open).

i am a loyal member of the Four Star Nation. Ha ha. But seriously, i will never purchase anything else. The handles are the best and the 15 degree edge is sharp. But they are expensive. Some will go on sale and some come in package deals. This little knife is like a scalpel. i can't comment on it's peeling/paring ability because i don't hold it that way or need it for that. i use it for things like removing the seeds and ribs from peppers.

I don't generally like German ice-hardened (Henckels and Wusthof) knives because cheaper, lighter stamped blades from good manufacturers (Victorianox) function just as well and in some ways better. Ice-hardened blades are so much more difficult to sharpen, a lot of people just put off the job and end up with very expensive dull knives, which is a total waste of money. This Henckels, which we bought almost four years ago, has become the paring knife my wife and I always reach for, and I'm going to buy a second even though the price has gone up close to 40% -- thank you Germany. The heavy weight of a forged blade is fatigue-inducing in a 10 inch chef knife or butcher's chopper. But for a paring knife the extra weight and strength are nice. The handle and blade withstand the dishwasher extremely well and don't discolor or lose the edge -- which is important. People SHOULD use the dishwasher for their knives because handwashing sharp steel is risking cuts - it will happen. I cannot speak to this knife versus the comparable one from Wusthof; all I know is this is a very comfortable working knife for our household. And I suppose forty bucks isn't that much of a splurge for a blade that's going to be around longer than we will.

These German made knives are top quality and will last you at least 26 years. How do I know? Because I have owned a Henckels Zwilling 4 Star chef knife I bought in Germany in 1990 for that long. And it still holds a sharp edge and shows minimal wear. I had a set of Henckels International knives, and they didn't last 10 years before the handle rivets broke off. So do yourself a favor and buy a set of Henckels Zwilling 4 Star knives. They are used by professional chefs for years at a time. Get a small block and just buy the knives you need. I never used half the knives that came with my Henckels International knife set.

Love, love, love this little knife. I bought my set of J.A. Henckels four-star knives 38 years ago and was thrilled to find an exact match after the tip of my “old” paring knife broke off. They do have a life time warranty, but the knife shops of old have gradually gone out of business making it near impossible to get replacements. Thank goodness for Amazon...they never let me down!

I like the solid forge, this knife is not as sharp as Henkle bird beek type paring knife..but it's still alright. Maneuverability is better with curvier center arched handles..on this the pinky curve helps-but isn't EZ enough for my old hands, which are lg and long fingered and elderly. Overall a decent knife from a good company.

I got this knife because I had one years ago. I had a complete set of Henckels that I got about 30 years ago, and they were still excellent knives. My eldest son wanted them, so I gave them to him. I also love the new set I got, but the shorter paring knife didn't come with it...so...I decided to purchase this one. My original one was 3.5" long and this one is 3.0". I LOVE it. It is perfect for my smaller hand. It fits nicely into my hand; and, it is a Henckels! What's not to like?

Fabulous tool, non-slip handle, easy to use. We've done without for years and had empty holes in our knife block. This matched the remaining knives we had so we now have a full set. And, a big deal was that the block we already had includes a slot for a cook's scissors (and the scissors) and it seems as though most of the blocks out there now don't do this which seems a shame as that's the tool used as frequently as any (not only for the food but also for those pesky plastic packages always needing to be ripped open).

i am a loyal member of the Four Star Nation. Ha ha. But seriously, i will never purchase anything else. The handles are the best and the 15 degree edge is sharp. But they are expensive. Some will go on sale and some come in package deals. This little knife is like a scalpel. i can't comment on it's peeling/paring ability because i don't hold it that way or need it for that. i use it for things like removing the seeds and ribs from peppers.

I don't generally like German ice-hardened (Henckels and Wusthof) knives because cheaper, lighter stamped blades from good manufacturers (Victorianox) function just as well and in some ways better. Ice-hardened blades are so much more difficult to sharpen, a lot of people just put off the job and end up with very expensive dull knives, which is a total waste of money. This Henckels, which we bought almost four years ago, has become the paring knife my wife and I always reach for, and I'm going to buy a second even though the price has gone up close to 40% -- thank you Germany. The heavy weight of a forged blade is fatigue-inducing in a 10 inch chef knife or butcher's chopper. But for a paring knife the extra weight and strength are nice. The handle and blade withstand the dishwasher extremely well and don't discolor or lose the edge -- which is important. People SHOULD use the dishwasher for their knives because handwashing sharp steel is risking cuts - it will happen. I cannot speak to this knife versus the comparable one from Wusthof; all I know is this is a very comfortable working knife for our household. And I suppose forty bucks isn't that much of a splurge for a blade that's going to be around longer than we will.

Return:
You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a tracking number, which shows the items which you already returned to us.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Book with obvious signs of use
- CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Items returned to us as a result of our error will receive a full refund,some returns may be subject to a restocking fee of 7% of the total item price, please contact a customer care team member to see if your return is subject. Returns that arrived on time and were as described are subject to a restocking fee.
Items returned to us that were not the result of our error, including items returned to us due to an invalid or incomplete address, will be refunded the original item price less our standard restocking fees.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Shipping Cost
We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). In other cases, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Refund:
- Purchases may be returned within 30 days of the shipping date for a refund.
- Refund will be issued to your original form of payment.
- Refunds for orders purchased with IBSPOT Gift Cards and/or IBSPOT Notes will be issued as a IBSPOT Gift Card and mailed to the original billing address. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law.
Refund Processing
• Returns to a IBSPOT store will be refunded to the original form of payment or gift card. • Mail-in returns with our prepaid return label will be refunded back to the original form of payment within 3-5 business days after we receive your return. Please allow 5-7 business days for your return to arrive at our Returns Center.
• Note: It may take a few days until your bank posts the refund to your account.
Claims:
Claims related to the product. Be sure to check the details of your purchase carefully before you make the payment, and check the contents of the package(s) promptly upon receipt. If you have a problem with the product, visit our Support Center to find out about return shipping arrangements.
