A brand new American Made Tig Welding Torch. This is a 17 series FLEX HEAD tig torch and will plug right in to the Thermal Arc 201 TS, 185 or 186 Tig welders and any other welder which has a 1/2" twist lock connector and has a 5/8-18 RH gas connection and a solenoid valve built into the welder. Common brand names/designations are WP-17 (Weldcraft), PTA-17 (Lincoln), DB-17 (Miller Diamond back). This is an extremely high quality tig welding torch which features a one piece power cable design. The power cable is made from silicone rubber with a nylon braided weave overlay which means it is extremely flexible - and it will stay flexible in cold weather! This design puts much less strain on your wrist and makes the torch feel lighter. We will put this torch against any of the above mentioned torches in both quality and performance.
A 17 series torch is the standard torch found on many tig welders. It uses 10N series Alumina Cups which are about 1 7/8" long. The super flexible one piece cable assembly is 12 feet long. This is a 150 amp 100% duty cycle torch. This 17 series torch includes a long back cap, but does not include any collets, collet bodies alumina cups or tungsten. We have all these items in our store, and they would ship for no additional shipping charge. Based on inventory levels the hose could be black, blue, or red.
You can see the close up photo of the USAWELD version of the connection. The diameter of the connector is 1/2" and the gas flows through the 5/8-18 male fitting.
