- ANCHO CHILI POWDER - Ancho chilli powder - gently and finely ground chilli peppers from the Mexican variety Ancho/Poblano. In fresh form, the chili peppers are called Poblano. First mature and dried pods are called ancho. Ancho dried chili powder is a mildly spicy chili with black and brown colour and fruity, smoky flavour. Very suitable for preparing stews, sauces, salsas and dips. Slight sharpness with approximately 1500 Scoville units.

- Features and use: This chili is freshly called Poblano, in dried form ancho. In addition to pasilla and mulato, it is a traditional part of the Mole sauce served in Mexico with many dishes. Due to the slight sharpness, it can be used generously when preparing food. This gives the dish a sweet, intense chili aroma.
