Our FRESH HERITAGE STANDARD LAYING BREEDS chicken eggs
are HANDPICKED daily and carefully packaged by hand and come unwashed
with their bloom intact. They're collected from our variety of standard
heritage laying breeds hens (see breeds and yearly laying statistics
below!). We recommend that you do not wash your eggs as each egg has a
natural, hen produced protective coating (bloom) that helps with the
longevity of the egg. Unwashed eggs may be kept on the counter, at room
temperature, for up to 3 weeks without compromising their quality. (Do
not refrigerate before using a broody hen or duck and allow to come to
room temperature for 24-48 hours after their arrival before utilizing).

variety of laying breeds supervised and protected by our Brahman
rooster. We HANDPICK our ladies eggs daily (sometimes twice) and candle
each and every egg checking for the rare unnoticeable cracks and other
possible imperfections so you can have the best fresh, farm grown egg
experience possible!

breed varieties were selected due to the yearly number of eggs
produced, size of eggs, pleasant temperaments and eggshell colors! We
love providing the very best of free range eating eggs for your plate,
hobby and craft experience, Easter decorations and more!
All our
lovely ladies have been raised on our 3 acre farm from chicks. They are
fed fresh fruits and veggies daily and enjoy grazing in the grass and
certainly keep the grasshopper and other bug populations near nil!
Fed
a custom blend of high protein grain feed created by my hubby of 49
years and with the approval of several grainery and other experts!
Provided
with fresh water daily supplemented with a vitamin and mineral support
product (again recommended by the above experts) to make sure they are
happy and healthy and most productive for our weekly egg customers!
So their diet consists of:
Vegetarian & Grain Based Diet with No Animal By-Products, No Preservatives, No Artificial Hormones, Pure Local Water.
Shipped to you via USPS GROUND DELIVER with the very best packing steps utilized.
We
ship USPS GROUND so they do not go by air and become affected by
weather conditions within the luggage/mail compartment as it is
unpressurized and unheated. That's just not safe or good enough by my
standards.
HANDPICKED Eggs are gathered within 2 days of
shipment. They should arrive within 3-5 days but, of course, delivery
time may vary depending on the weather and USPS snags that occasionally
occur. If extreme temperatures (hot or cold) occur, I may delay shipping
a few days to ensure your eggs arrive in the very best condition.
