Der AMD Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 verfügt über eine Hybrid-Struktur mit zwei unterschiedlichen Größen der Mikrofinnen sowie eine Jetplate für einen optimierten Strömungsfluss. Die Coldplate des Kühlers besteht aus vernickeltem Kupfer und wird direkt auf dem Chip der CPU montiert. Hierfür wird der Socket Actuation Mechanism (SAM) des Mainboards entfernt, und der Prozessor muss geköpft werden. Das Vernickeln der Kühlerplatte erzeugt eine Sperrschicht, sodass Gallium-basiertes Flüssigmetall nicht in das Kupfer diffundieren kann und ein mehrmaliges Auftragen von Flüssigmetall in der Regel nicht notwendig ist.

Zwischen der Coldplate und dem Deckel aus eloxiertem Aluminium befindet sich Acrylglas, das nach dem Fräsen einem Temperprozess unterzogen wird, der das Acrylglas von inneren Spannungen befreit. Dadurch kann sichergestellt werden, dass sich auch nach langer Nutzungsdauer keine Spannungsrisse im Acrylglas bilden, wie es bei gehärtetem Acrylglas vorkommen kann. Unter dem Alu-Deckel befinden sich RGB-LEDs, die via 3-Pin-ARGB-Header (+5V/DATA/GND) über das Mainboard gesteuert werden. Die LEDs beleuchten das Acrylglas unter dem Deckel und die G1/4-Zoll-Anschlüsse im Deckel.
Achtung: Das Entfernen des Heatspreaders („Köpfen“, „delidden“) eines Prozessors erfolgt auf eigene Gefahr! Mit dem Köpfen der CPU erlischt die Herstellergarantie! Beschädigungen beim Köpfen der CPU werden nicht von der Herstellergarantie abgedeckt!
Das Entfernen des Socket Actuation Mechanism (SAM) des Mainboards kann zum Verlust der Herstellergarantie des Mainboard-Herstellers führen!

Der AM5 Mycro Direct-Die ist nach ersten internen Tests kompatibel zu AMDs Ryzen-9000-Prozessorserie. Die Kompatibilitätsprüfung umfasst nur die normalen 9000er-CPUs. Ryzen 9000X3D-CPUs werden geprüft sobald verfügbar.
