The original SPX Flow Johnson 12V cartridge pump has the latest technology available. Many years of experience in races, long-distance rides, sports fishing and rough operation in commercial marine journeys. For the 1250 GPH pumps, the construction has improved with easy-to-install Dura-Port drain connectors to avoid cracking caused by strain caused by too much tightened hose clamps. The pumps come with both a straight Dura port and a 90° Dura port angle piece.
For cleaning and maintenance, the complete pump does not need to be dismantled. You can leave the pump housing with the hoses in the boat. The cartridges can be removed without using tools for cleaning or replacement. Turn the pump head slightly and remove it upwards. The cartridge contains an all-in-one motor/impeller unit without loose parts. The cartridge pump is a very compact pump with high performance and unpretentious operation in fresh and salt water. The pump has a low power consumption for the amount of water it pumps. Its improved, more efficient motor also offers improved durability, partly thanks to a sophisticated solution where waste water is used to cool the engine.
