This device is used to monitor GFCI or outlet power failure. It is powered by a USB charger, with an internal backup battery(included). It monitors the power 24/7 and sends out the alert through Wi-Fi. Only 2.4GHz WiFi is supported.
- If the power is normal, the device will be powered by the USB charger and the green LED will be ON.
- If there is a power failure, the power supply will be switched to the internal battery and the green LED will be OFF. At the same time, a power OFF alert will be sent out to you immediately.
- The 85db buzzer is enabled by default. When the power fails, the buzzer will sound up to 30 seconds before you press the black switch to mute it. The buzzer can be disabled during the device setup if you prefer not to hear the buzzer when power fails.
- Alert/notification via email is unlimited and free permanently.
- 2 cell phones can be registered to each device to receive alerts via text message. We pay for each text message to the cell carrier, and it should be reliable/quick. 300 free text messages come with the purchase, which can cover more than 5 years for most users, and can be renewed for free after 5 years. Only US/Canada phones are supported currently.
- The device cannot send out the power OFF alert (different from the device OFFLINE alert) if your WiFi network or internet service is also down during the power outage, for example when the whole house power outage. In this scenario, you may need a small Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS) for your WiFi router to maintain WiFi connection and internet service, so that the device can still send you the power OFF alert.

Tracking & Notifications
