Premeno duo
Premeno® duo are vaginal ovules for the treatment of vaginal dryness, caused by e.g. the menopause, stress, breast feeding or antihormonal chemotherapy, with or without local hormone therapy. Regular use ensures that adequate vaginal moistness is always maintained, which also improves sexual sensation.
Premeno duo improves natural defences against vaginal infections: preventive treatment of vaginitis (vaginal infection) and vaginal mycosis (fungal infection of the vagina).
It may also assist with recurrent uncomplicated UTI's, which frequently result from disturbed vaginal environment - by supporting the healing of the damaged tissue more rapidly and maintaining optimum vaginal environment, it makes the tissue less susceptible to another infection
Can be used in conjunction with antibiotic treatments and also directly after anti-fungal treatment, to help heal and prevent recurrent Candida infections.
In most cases it can be used in combination with hormone replacement therapy (HRT) - Consult your Healthcare Professional first.
These are handy ovules, so no messing around with gels and applicators. They have a long-lasting action and need to be used only once every 3 days.

Dosage: Instructions for use:
Application of 1x daily to 1x every 3rd day has proven to be effective for the prevention and treatment of dry vaginal epithelium. The ovule is simple to insert into the vagina. The ovule is inserted with a finger as deep as possible into the vagina where it melts completely within a few minutes. For vaginal dryness as a result of oestrogen deficiency during or after the menopause:
Initial therapy: Insert one ovule in the evening before bedtime over a period of 10 consecutive days. Maintenance therapy: For a lasting effect you should insert 1 ovule every 3rd day, for as long as you feel this is desirable. Tips for use: Vaginal moistness may be greatly increased in isolated cases; wearing a panty liner is therefore recommended. If the vaginal wall is very sensitive, the ovule can be inserted more easily if it is briefly held under warm water before insertion. Warnings:

The moisture content, elasticity and acidity level of the vaginal epithelium (vaginal walls) are very finely regulated. In certain situations, such as during or after the menopause, after childbirth, while breast feeding, when taking hormone preparations, in mental disturbances (stress), or after cancer treatment (chemotherapy) this regulation process can be altered or disturbed. As a result the vagina may become dry, and the acid vaginal secretion is disturbed.
Some common symptoms of this are: itching, burning, burning during sexual intercourse and a tendency to inflammation. Mechanical stimuli, and also intercourse, can cause small tears and injuries to the epithelium. If the normal level of lactic acid production is reduced, the chance of developing a vaginal infection, and thus vaginal inflammation (colpitis) and a discharge with a distinct odour, is greatly increased.
Premeno® Duo has a dual action: it aids the healing of two types of vaginal disorders at the same time:
– Hyaluronic acid: This is mainly responsible for the moisture and elasticity of the skin (mucous membranes). It also plays a vital part in healing processes and tissue repair. Recent studies also show that it inhibits the growth of Candida albicans – the most common cause of vaginal mycosis (fungal infection of the vagina). Lack of oestrogen can cause levels of hyaluronic acid in the vaginal skin to fall, which reduces moisture, elasticity and the stability of the tissue.
– The combination lactic acid/sodium lactate: Numerous factors, including lack of oestrogen or bleeding can have a negative effect on the naturally acid vaginal environment. This can cause an overgrowth of harmful bacteria or germs. The lactic acid/sodium lactate combination restores the vaginal-pH to the natural level of 3.8 to 4.5 and thus ensures that the risk of infection is decreased.
The active substances are biocompatible substances and therefore have a very low risk of side effects. The ovules are colourant and fragrance free and are simple to use. They can be inserted regularly, up to once daily, for preventive or therapeutic use.

You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
