I have a Nebelung cat. They have very long, thick fur, and she currently getting her winter coat. This has really helped with the small knots veggie they turn into big mats. A regular brush just doesn't get through herfur like this grooming tool does. Well worth it!

I worked at a professional grooming salon (primarily working on dogs) for 5 years throughout college. We had a ton of different tools to help with getting matts out. For some reason I decided to use tiny cuticle scissors on my long hair cat for her back matts/knots instead of investing in a tool like this (at first). They kept popping up more frequently (I suspected family member in the house was petting her against the way her fur lies). Thankfully I bought this tool and it worked immediately! She loves to be brushed/pet so she was purring the whole time I used it on her. I will say that it did seem to thin out her coat but I honestly think it was just removing a lot of the bulky undercoat she has. She feels silky soft now and I will still grab it and use it from time to time on her belly/back side/under arms.
