Selecting the Right Bait
Effective wasp trapping hinges on using the appropriate bait, which varies according to the season. In early spring, when wasps are reproducing, they seek protein; whereas in summer, they crave sugar.
Placing the Trap Correctly
While you can position traps on the ground, suspending them around four feet high will likely yield better results in attracting and catching more wasps. Look for a sturdy tree limb or fence post on your property, ideally at least 10 yards away from areas where your family congregates, and hang the trap using its string handle.
