Attached to one of the patches is a small red light. As long as this light is illuminated the patch is working.
What type of battery does it use?
A power supply is bonded to and is part of the microchip; it cannot be removed or replaced and is sealed inside the device to protect against water and other element damage.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. The patch is completely waterproof; however we strongly suggest removing the MCT Patch when bathing and showering, to extend its life.
Can I wear it longer than 3-5 days?
We suggest that the user wear the unit for no longer than 3-5 days and then remove it to avoid irritation to the skin from the adhesive.
Can I use MCT patches with other pain medication?
Yes. The MCT patch relieves pain in a totally different way. You can use it to enhance relief in conjunction with pain medication.
Does it go directly on the area of pain?
No. You should surround the area of pain, placing the patches either up and down or side to side around the pain.

The battery will last up to 300 hours of total use.

Tips For Using Painmaster
Getting The Most From Treatments
Leaving the Patches on for longer than 4 hours per treatment is recommended, including whilst sleeping or during the day when at work. Ensure skin is clean before use and shave if excessive hair is present.
Removing MCT Patches
Remove by pulling each pad gently from the tab at the top. Store on the plastic packing that was supplied with the patches.
Reapplying Patches
If the patches have lost their stickiness applying a droplet of warm water and spreading may help.
Use and Care
After 3-5 days of continuous use the patches can be removed for one to two days. To clean patches, rinse gel side with warm water and let dry COMPLETELY before re-applying. Do NOT sterilize or disinfect.
Safety Considerations
Patches should NOT be placed over an open wound or over recent scars, broken or inflamed skin, areas of infection, thrombosis or vascular problems (i.e. Varicose veins) If a rash caused by the adhesive appears, discontinue use.
Adverse Skin Reactions
Isolated cases of skin irritation may occur at the site of the electrode placement following long term application.
The treatment should be paused and this condition, known as ertherma, will generally resolve within a few hours to a few days. Minor skin irritation to the electrode site has been documented, on occasion, with certain hypersensitive individuals.
