The seawater that is the raw material for "Nuchimasu" is pumped from the Pacific side of Miyagi Island, which is located in the center of the main island of Okinawa Prefecture, across the underwater road from Katsuren Peninsula. Miyagi Island is an island of coastal fishing and agriculture, and has the highest altitude (about 120m) among the neighboring remote islands, has many natural springs, and sugar cane, rush grass, purple sweet potato, etc. are cultivated. There are villages with traditional red tile roofs and coral stone walls, and the simple and beautiful nature remains against the blue sea. Miyagi Island also protrudes the most from the main island of Okinawa and faces the open sea directly. It is a blessed island with very little influence from industrial wastewater or domestic sewage, and clean seawater is constantly being sent to it by ocean currents and the ebb and flow of the tides. At Nuchimasu, we are particular about using the seawater from the Pacific coast of Miyagi Island, which is even more carefully selected from among the clean seawater of Okinawa.
