Step 1: Prepare Your Hair - Start with clean, dry hair. You can also apply a small amount of hair mousse or curl-enhancing cream if you want extra hold and definition. Comb your hair to remove any tangles. Step 2: Section Your Hair - Divide your hair into sections based on how many ribbon curlers you are using and how tight you want your curls to be. Smaller sections will create tighter curls, while larger sections will result in looser curls. Step 3: Dampen Your Hair - Use a water spray bottle to lightly dampen each section of hair. You want your hair to be slightly damp but not soaking wet. This will help set the curls. Step 4: Wrap Your Hair - Place the ribbon curler on top of your head and begin wrapping a section of hair around the ribbon curler, adding in more sections as you work your way down. Make sure to wrap the hair evenly and keep it taut but not too tight to avoid creases. Step 5: Secure the Ends - Use the elastic strap at the end of the curler to secure your ends. You can also snap it closed ahead of time and use it as an elastic loop. Step 6: Allow Your Hair to Dry - Leave the ribbon curlers in your hair until your hair is completely dry.
