If you thought upgrading from a plastic bike water bottle to a stainless steel one was a big deal, let me say that our newest ""Ice Flood"" water bottle is even more amazing. The basis of the whole upgrade is the material. Today, most thermos bottles are made of traditional 18/8 stainless steel (which is also called SUS304), no matter how shiny the brand or how expensive it is. We evolved it with 18/10 stainless steel. 18/10 stainless steel is also known as SUS316, 316L, or 06Cr17Ni10Mo2. It contains 10% nickel and molybdenum, making it more durable and more resistant to corrosion, bending, and rusting than cheap 10/8 steel (SUS304). That's why most surgical instruments, such as scalpels, blades, and clamps, are made of 18/10 steel instead of 10/8 steel! This surgical-grade steel also reduces the metallic smell in water, although only a few people are sensitive to this smell. We spent two months improving the mold to be able to withstand such strong metal and finally applied it to the inner liner of the bottle. In addition, we also increased the thickness of the inner liner to 0.4 mm, while most competitors' inner liner is only 0.3 mm. In addition, we also added a copper coating on the outside of the inner liner, which improves the thermal insulation performance. Since we know that the bottle may fall on any stone or road surface, we increased the thickness of the outer container to 0.5 mm to improve the resistance to breakage and deformation. Remember, most other metal bottle shells are only 0.3 mm thick. The coating is also different. Many riders may complain about scratches caused by bottle cages. Therefore, we used a coating that is expensive but much more durable than the commonly used ones. The bottom corners are optimized and more rounded, which also reduces scratches between the bottle and the bottle cage. The bottle spout has two functions, either 'grab, lift to mouth, gulp' or use a straw to sip slowly. The cap cover can keep the water clean instead of drinking with mud. With so many improvements, we sincerely hope that this bottle will bring you more cycling fun!
