How to Install Monroe Paper Rolls into a Monroe Printing Calculator

Step 1Turn OFF the calculator. Slide the printer cover off of the device. Put pressure on the cover at the top of the device, pushing off the cover. Take note of the arms holding the paper roll in place. You’ll need to remove the paper roll core from the previous roll that you are replacing for a new paper roll. | Step 2Install the new paper roll. Make sure that the paper sits so the paper is feeding up towards the sky and not down toward the ground. This will help keep the paper curling toward the back of the machine when you print. | Step 3Now it is time to feed the printer paper into the printer (For the Monroe 122PDX: The calculator lid must be installed before feeding the paper). Look for a slot along the top-rear of the printer. Then, feed the paper between the slot in the printer. Turn ON the calculator. Press the “FEED” button on the printer so the paper continues to be fed through the device properly. |
How to Install the Monroe M33X Ribbon Cartridge into a Monroe Printing Calculator

Step 1Turn OFF the calculator. Remove the printer cover. Remove paper from printer using the paper advance key. Remove the new cartridge from the packaging, making sure to leave the ribbon lock in place to stabilize the ribbon during installation and make the process easier. | Step 2Install the right hand ribbon arm (Arm “A”) first and pivot the cartridge to engage the printer guide arm having it seated under metal tab “C”. The left hand ribbon arm (Arm “B”) must be moved to the left to clear and engage the printer guide arm on the left hand side. | Step 3The rear body of the cartridge can now be pressed down to engage the printer spools and the ribbon lock will be disengaged from the cartridge and can now be disposed of. Helpful Hint: If the back of the ribbon cartridge does not engage with the printer spools, turn the wheels on top of the cartridge to engage the cartridge pins with the holes in the printer spools. |
