The 2.5" diameter balls are standard sized to fit most ball launchers and can also be used for chew toys. **Tips for Training with a Ball** Begin by training your dog with a basic "sit" command. Start by tossing the ball a short distance and then throw further as your dog becomes more confident in retrieving. Fetching comes instinctively to many dogs, but not all will intuitively chase a ball that is thrown. These dogs may need incentives such as rewards or praise.
