How to install tape in hair extensions:
Step 1: Use the comb to pick up a thin slice of natural hair as wide as your tape extensions.
Step 2: Press the natural hair downward into the tape leaving 1 inch-2 inch space between the scalp and the extension.
Step 3: Peel away the second tape and place this piece directly over the first, sandwiching the natural hair in between and seal the tape with a flat iron for maximum adherence.
Step 4: Repeat for full head If you are unsure about doing this process at home, we HIGHLY recommend you go to a professional stylist who has been trained to do tape in hair extensions.
How to make your tape-ins more secure:
1. Make sure they were put incorrectly.
2. Do NOT color your hair the same day you get tape-ins.
3. No alcohol or oil-based products should be used while wearing tape extensions, these will break tape adhesive down much faster. Use special hair extension hair care products to ensure long lasting tape extensions.
4. If you have naturally oily hair, tape extensions won't hold as long and you will need to replace your tape extensions more frequently - every 6 weeks to so. Try using oil control shampoo.
