Basically, chemical hair colours replace the hair's natural pigments with synthetic pigments, quickly changing your hair color completely. The natural colour pigments of the hair also have a stabilizing effect, which is why chemically dyed hair quickly becomes brittle and dull. LOGONA's Herbal Hair Colors color very gently, since they only penetrate the outer cuticle of the hair and put a protective film around each hair. Herbal Hair Colors and Chemical Hair Colors
If herbal hair colors are combined with chemical hair colors, the color can turn out false. Therefore, you should test a strand of hair before coloring your whole head.
Herbal Hair Colors and Gray Hair
In principle, LOGONA hair colors are suitable for colouring gray hair. Natural dyes may not be able to cover all gray hair completely. Because of their special nature, gray hairs are brighter after a plant based coloring than not-graying hair. This results in very natural nuanced gradations in the final hair color.
Herbal Hair Colors and Lightening
It is not possible to lighten your hair colors with natural colors because bleaching is only possible with hair-damaging chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide.Application:
- Pretreatment: we recommend the ColorPlus Colorations pretreatment. This hair mask with Green Clay and birch leaf extract gently removes styling residues, dandruff and excess oil. This treatment makes for a better color result because the herbal hair color can better attach to the hair.
- Coloration: use the cream directly from the tube, it doesn't need to be mixed. Start at your part and distribute the color evenly through your hair. Depending on the desired color intensity, allow the color to rest for 15 minutes- 2 hours. Then rinse with plenty of warm water.
- Treatment: rinse with the Color Conditioner instead of shampoo. This special conditioner fixes the color and intensifies the brightness of the hair. Immediately after applying the dye, the conditioner seals the hair color with burdock seed oil, betaine and wheat proteins, creating an invisible film that ensures a long-lasting, brilliant color.
- Color Care: to intensify the durability and brightness of the herbal hair color, we recommend the LOGONA color care shampoos in chamomile, henna and hazelnut. They contain plant extracts that help to preserve the herbal hair color while caring for your hair. The natural hair color can be refreshed with the color care shampoos. They tint but do not replace color.
