DLS was created by a couple of hunters that wanted to create quality mineral & attractants to ensure full genetic potential in their deer.
Jackhammer is a deer mineral and attractant. It’s a vitamin supplement with added protein and carbohydrates. Salt and just a few key ingredients will attract deer, however, Jackhammer was designed with premium ingredients to not only attract deer, but also provide quality nutrition to maximize health and antler growth.
INSTRUCTIONS: For best results, choose a site with loose/rich soil, tree stumps or downed logs. It works best near deer trails and is a bonus if there is water nearby. Avoid sites with heavy clay that hold water. Lightly disturb site with a rake or shovel. If using a stump or log, drill holes with a spade bit or checker with a saw. Add 2-3lbs of Jackhammer to the prepared site. If adding to soil, work the Jackhammer into the site. Top off with another 4-5lbs of Jackhammer, and your site is ready. As the deer hammer and excavate the site, disturb the soil again and top off with more Jackhammer. Reapply as needed or approximately every 30 days.

The first batch was created in a garage inside of a 5-gallon bucket, quickly the product was sought out by the friends and family. The 5-gallon bucket became too small, and the hunters transitioned into a concrete mixer to facilitate the needs of mixing larger quantities to JUST friends and family. Today, the products are mixed by a certified mixing facility, allowing these hunters to share their "Premium Product" with others.
They wanted an affordable product that, not only attracted deer, but also truly provided quality nutrition for them. As they developed their own mix, they wanted to create a product that worked regardless of cost.
They quickly realized that salt was the inexpensive ingredient to use, which explained why so many products on the store’s shelves were utilizing it. It also made them realize how much money they had thrown out the window over the years, paying for products claiming to grow bigger deer. In reality they were paying for a bag of overpriced salt. Although salt is an attractant for deer, it provides little nutritional value and too much can be counterproductive.
After several years of development by trial and error, they were able to produce a mineral/attractant that brought deer in, kept them in, and provided quality supplemental nutrition. It' wasn’t just a bag of salt with a little bit of nutritional ingredients. It was a complete mix of macro and micronutrients, vitamins, protein, fiber, fat and carbohydrates, that the deer absolutely devoured!
