MEDILAX-N Microenemas is a medical technology product, specifically designed to help manage the symptoms of constipation, faecal impaction and tenesmus.
The product contains as main ingredients sodium citrate and sodium lauroyl-sarcosinate. Sodium citrate acts as an osmotic laxative, increasing the amount of water within the colon, trapping fluid from the rest of the body toward the intestine, or retaining the fluid of the microenema itself within the stool.
Sodium lauroyl-sarcosinate acts as an anionic surfactant, which provides faecal hydration and improves water penetration, thus helping to soften the faeces.
In addition, the product contains agents with soothing properties that relieve the irritated intestinal lumen and is specially designed for the immediate relief of symptoms of functional or acute constipation and tenesmus. The content of the product is excreted unchanged, without being absorbed by the large intestine.

Dosage:
Children over 2 years and adults

Use:
Hold the microenema with both hands, twist the cap and pull to break its safety lock. Remove the cap and insert the recommended – according to the age range – nozzle length carefully into the rectum. Press the microenema to empty its internal contents into the intestine and remove the nozzle while keeping the microenema pressed.
For use in children over 2 years of age and adults: When applying, insert the full length of the microenema nozzle.
For use in children under 2 years of age: When applying, insert only half the length of the microenema nozzle.

Do not use the product on newborns.
