- ✓ Gentle on your blades: high-quality knives wear out quickly and become dull when the wrong base is used for cutting. Materials that have a lower hardness than the blade are advantageous. This is the case with wooden carving boards. The knives stay sharp and do not dull on wooden chopping boards.
- Easy to clean: rinse your board briefly from both sides after use with a little mild detergent under lukewarm water. In case of heavier dirt, you can thoroughly clean the surface with cutting notches with a brush or a clean dishcloth. Cleaning in the dishwasher carries the risk of deformation and cracking due to exposure to heat and water.
- ✓ Optimal care: Basically, chopping boards can be used untreated and sealing the surface is not absolutely necessary. However, it is recommended to maintain wooden chopping boards with a little oil or beeswax every month with intensive use. This has the advantage, especially with hot and greasy food, that the wood is sealed and germs, bacteria as well as liquid, discolouration and odours can penetrate the wood worse.
