A study by Radiological Society of North America has shown that there is a threshold level of heading with a regular ball where players who did heading of amounts lower than the threshold were unlikely to show these brain injury-like changes, and the ones that exceeded the threshold were much more likely to show these cognitive symptoms. The study finds that that threshold ranges from about 1,000 to 1,500 hits over a year, depending on what part of the head takes the force of the ball - To ensure the number of sub concussive impacts stays below this threshold, players and coaches should be using a lightweight ball such as the Heading Trainer to train proper heading technique. We are already providing free soccer shoes to children who live in subsidized housing through the ASK Foundation. When you purchase a heading trainer ball, we will give a regulation soccer ball to a child involved in the ASK foundation. For proper ball inflation: 1. Unfold the ball to a more round shape and expand the bladder 2. Insert moistened ball pump needle slowly and straight in 3. Inflate the ball fully 4. Deflate the ball until it is soft and only has about 3-4 pounds of air pressure. Players should not use a fully inflated ball for repetition heading.

Tracking & Notifications

Order Changes & Cancellations

Order Cancellation Policy
