- OVERVIEW: H-Seal is a food safe, solvent free, water-based concrete sealer designed for food preparation surfaces, bathrooms and outdoor applications. It is heat resistant up to 392°F making it great for use with hot pans and BBQ's and has a delicate matte finish which sets it apart from its competitors. It provides protection for 10+ years with proper maintenance and is designed for use in direct sunlight. H-Seal goes far! With coverage between 5-12m2 depended on surface roughness.
- FOOD SAFE & WATERPROOF: H-Seal is designed specifically for concrete countertops, sinks, food preparation surfaces, bathrooms and for outdoor applications. The sealer absorbs deep into the pores of the concrete to stop water right in its tracks. Instead water is rejected and just sits on the surface ready to be wiped away or trickle down the drain.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
PREPARATION: Ensure that the surface is fully clean from dust, dirt and grease. This can be done with a pressure washer outside, or if the surface is delicate use a bucket of clean water and a damp sponge for a more gentle clean. In most cases this can be done directly after polishing or wet sanding. Ensure that there is no grease or dirt remaining on the surface. Allow to dry thoroughly and if necessary use acetone and a lint free cloth to wipe the surface and remove any remaining stains, dirt or grease. Before application, ensure that the temperature is above 8°C with a surface temperature no higher than 23°C.
APPLICATION: Ensure that the surface is fully cleaned and dry. If the sealer is being used externally, only apply if no rain is forecasted for at least 4 hours. For the first application, spread the H-SEAL sealer evenly across the surface using a short/medium pile roller, making sure to saturate the surface fully without leaving any pools of liquid. It is recommended to use a 4 inch mini roller as this will soak up less liquid into the roller and leave more on the countertop. Leave for 10 to 20 minutes until visibly dry and then proceed with a second layer and third layer. The second and third layer will require significantly less sealer to coat the surface. If you have already sealed your concrete countertop with H-SEAL in the past then 1-2 coats will be sufficient for a maintenance / top-up coat. Allow 2-3 hours before touching or placing any items on top of the surface (longer in low temperatures) and 24 hours for final use. Always apply to a test area first before applying to the whole surface.
COVERAGE: 1 litre will cover 5-8m2 depending on the surface roughness and porosity of the concrete, the smoother the surface, the less sealer needed. For example, the sealer may cover up to 10-12m2 on a surface sanded to 1200-3000 grit.
