Why does Magma Dripper brew deliciously?
Most drippers on the market are V-shaped, called "V60" by major manufacturers. The V shape has been said to be the best shape for extracting delicious coffee, but it also has some drawbacks, such as the flavor varying depending on the extraction speed, and the need for extraction technique, which can be difficult for beginners. That's why we developed the W-shaped Magma Dripper. The theory is complicated, but to put it simply, the W-shape increases the contact area between the coffee powder and the dripper, allowing hot water to be applied evenly, resulting in: - reduced unpleasant flavors and easier sweetness - a simple design that even beginners can use by simply pouring hot water in a circle.
Usage 1
Put the coffee grounds into the dripper.
One cup: Approximate amount is 14g of powder
The recommended amount of hot water to pour is 220-230ml.
You can brew one cup or two or three cups at a time.
If you are making 2 to 3 cups at once, a good rule of thumb is to use 15.5 to 16.0 times the amount of hot water as the amount of powder.
When brewing just one cup, turn it on directly in the cup, and when brewing two to three cups, turn it on in a server, etc.
Usage 2
Pour hot water slowly and thinly in a circular motion.
Aim for the white line in the image and slowly pour hot water into the pot using a kettle or similar.
First pour in about 40ml of hot water, then let it steep for about 30 seconds, then pour in the hot water in 3 to 4 batches.
