- Active Ingredients: Light Liquid Paraffin 12.6% w/w (126mg/g), White Soft Paraffin 14.5% w/w (145mg/g), Anhydrous Lanolin 1.0% w/w (10mg/g). Light Liquid Paraffin & White Soft Paraffin: Paraffin is a mineral oil occlusive that provides a layer of oil on the surface of the skin to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface and irritants from entering
- Anhydrous Lanolin: Lanolin is a substance derived from the wool shorn from sheep and is a mixture of sterols, fatty acides, waxes, cholestrol and hydrocarbons. It has both emollient (softening) and occlusive properties. Lanolin has been show to cause skin reactions in some people, however there are different forms and some are more purified than others.
- E45 contains Medilan - a medical grade, highly purified, hypoallergenic form of lanolin that is less likely to cause skin irritation.
