How the terracotta watering stakes work?
The plant watering device is made from terracotta clay. The clay stake is porous. When you put the bottle full of water in the stake, it takes a little while for the water to soak through the porous clay. If the dirt around the stake is dry, the water automatically wicks from the clay into the dirt, and the water keeps wicking out into the dirt until the dirt is saturated with water, or until the bottle is empty.
Use and Tips:
Before use, soak the spikes in water to open up the pores in the clay so that the water flows more freely from the reservoir.
Just insert it into the soil and fill it with water, no need to remove it when refilling.
Larger plants will require multiple watering stakes.
