CRO® Paleo Bar: Detailed information
During the Paleolithic era, humans were nomadic and ate what they hunted and gathered. Their sole source of food therefore came from nature: wild berries, fruits, dried fruits and nuts, green vegetables, roots, eggs, meat and fish.
The paleo diet, or Paleolithic diet, stems from the idea of improving our health by going back to the food of our Paleolithic ancestors.
It is a diet that excludes the usual components of our modern diet (dairy products, grains, processed fats and refined sugars), so that food more closely resembles what our ancestors might have eaten.
The benefits of the paleo diet include improved cholesterol and plasma levels, a satiating effect on appetite, due to its high fibre content, and healthy, natural energy intake.
We have prepared our CRO® bars based on the principles of the paleo diet: it only contains fruits, dried fruits and nuts, and red berries, with no preservatives or flavourings.
Our CRO® bars contain dried figs, pitted dates, almonds in shell, hazelnuts, nuts, cranberries, raspberries and blackberries.
Dried figs (Ficus carica L.) contain iron salts, calcium, manganese, bromine, provitamin A, vitamins B1, B2, C and D1. They are a high-energy food and are recommended for athletes and people who practice intense physical activity. Their high fibre content also helps you to feel full after eating the CRO® bar.
Dates (Phoenix dactylifera L.) are native to the Middle East and North Africa. They are rich in potassium, calcium, iron, beta-carotene and niacin (vitamin B3). They are also high in fibre, and the combination of potassium with niacin promotes good nerve and muscle function. These fruits also have immunomodulatory properties.
In addition to providing energy, dried fruits and nuts have multiple functions: they improve the immune system and circulation. They are rich in bioactive compounds, antioxidants and nutrients.
Almonds (Prunus dulcis (Mill.) D.A. Webb) are very rich in fibre and nutrients. They contain vitamins A, B1, B2, niacin, B5 and B6, phytosterols (campesterol, stigmasterol, β-sitosterol, Δ5 and Δ7-avenasterol). Together with these properties, almonds also contain the antioxidant resveratrol-3-O-glucoside in their shell3.
Hazelnuts (Corylus avellana L.) have high vitamin E content and provide high quality proteins (rich in the amino acid arginine), in addition to having a high concentration of oleic acid, helping to reduce LDL cholesterol levels. They are also recommended for pregnant women, due to their folic acid content.
Walnuts (Juglans regia L.) are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidant polyphenols. The benefits of consuming walnuts include improved lipid profile and endothelial function, and reduced inflammation. Walnuts contribute to the improvement of the elasticity of blood vessels.
Red berries cranberries, raspberries and blackberries have particularly high vitamin, mineral and antioxidant content. The red berries in our CRO® are freeze-dried: they have been dried using a process in which the food is preserved for longer and conserves all its properties.
Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon Aiton) give the bar proanthocyanidins, triterpenoids, lectins (proteins) and catechins.
Raspberries (Rubus idaeus L.) are rich in fibre, vitamin C and phenolic compounds (polyphenols and flavonoids), as well as anthocyanins, cyanidins, ellagitannins, ellagic acid and hydroxycinnamates. Raspberries also contain vitamin E, niacin (vitamin B3) and folic acid.
Finally, blackberries (Rubus fructicosus) provide fibre, vitamin C, folic acid, anthocyanins and organic acids.

DIRECTIONS:
Consume 1 or 2 bars per day between main meals, or in case of low energy or to satiate appetite. Take before or during physical exercise, with plenty of water.

You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a tracking number, which shows the items which you already returned to us.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Items returned to us as a result of our error will receive a full refund,some returns may be subject to a restocking fee of 7% of the total item price, please contact a customer care team member to see if your return is subject. Returns that arrived on time and were as described are subject to a restocking fee.
Items returned to us that were not the result of our error, including items returned to us due to an invalid or incomplete address, will be refunded the original item price less our standard restocking fees.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping Cost
We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). In other cases, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Refund:
- Purchases may be returned within 30 days of the shipping date for a refund.
- Refund will be issued to your original form of payment.
- Refunds for orders purchased with IBSPOT Gift Cards and/or IBSPOT Notes will be issued as a IBSPOT Gift Card and mailed to the original billing address. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law.
Refund Processing
• Returns to a IBSPOT store will be refunded to the original form of payment or gift card. • Mail-in returns with our prepaid return label will be refunded back to the original form of payment within 3-5 business days after we receive your return. Please allow 5-7 business days for your return to arrive at our Returns Center.
• Note: It may take a few days until your bank posts the refund to your account.
