How to Make the Best Phone Mount
Our approach to designing the best vehicle phone mounts is centered around 3 core principles. Firstly, we are very skeptical of most universal fitment mounts on the market. Things like suction cups, vent clips, or stick on mounts aren't designed specifically for your 1500. They can fall off very easily and don't keep your device safe. Our preference is to design mounts with specific vehicle fitment. For the Ram 1500, we have designed a steel bracket that installs on the left side of the utility pocket that is found at the top of the center console. This provides an extremely secure and easy to access attachment point and ensures that our mount can never fall off.

Device attachment to the mount should be fast, easy, and secure. Our magnetic attachment system is the fastest and most convenient method of attaching a device to the mount.

The last part of the puzzle is you. Humans come in all shapes and sizes. Thus, our 1500 phone mount features a 360 degree articulating ball head allowing you to have complete control over the position of your device.

Magnetic vs MagSafe vs Scissor
This mount is available with three different styles of device attachment. The first two are magnet based. Our Magnet/MagSafe attachments are compatible with any device and offer the ultimate speed and convenience. Phones or cases equipped with MagSafe are directly compatible with the MagSafe attachment. All other devices require the use of an included adhesive backed metal plate. For phones with Qi functionality, the MagSafe version is the best choice. This version comes with a ring plate that will not interfere with the wireless charging feature. Any non-Magsafe or non-Qi device can use either version, though the standard Magnet base is recommended in this case.
We also offer a scissor grip attachment for those looking for an alternative to the magnetic attachments. With this version, CNC machined billet aluminum arms form a spring loaded gripper mechanism. The soft rubber pegs gently and securely grip your device to ensure that it does not fall out. The scissor mechanism can rotate 360 degrees so the phone can be held in either portrait or landscape mode.
