The NUMEM054 NuHeat Membrane is a tile underlayment and uncoupling system designed to work with nVent NuHeat electric floor heating cables. It provides uncoupling, crack isolation and waterproofing while helping to prevent tile cracking and substrate movement. When used with NuHeat heating cables and a thermostat, it creates a reliable, energy-efficient underfloor heating system. This infloor uncoupling layer is easy to install and eliminates the need for a second layer of plywood or cement board in most tile installations. It ensures even floor heat distribution and is optimized for use with the rebranded Chemelex Heating System. Chemelex NuHeat mat forms a flexible base bonded to the subfloor with thin-set mortar adhesive, supporting the tile installation above and absorbing substrate movement. It is effective in neutralizing tension, delamination and lateral stress from transferring to tile covering surfaces and tiled subfloors. Compatible with ceramic tile, porcelain tile, vinyl tile, cement tile, granite tile, marble tile, travertine tile, slate tile, limestone tile, sandstone tile, onyx tile, quartzite tile, mosaic tile, glass tile, concrete blocks, linoleum tile, carpet tile, vinyl flooring and stone flooring. Suitable for remodeling, bathroom tile, kitchen tile and shower tile applications. Rated for a max ambient temperature of 194°F (90°C), it performs in wet areas like showers, steam rooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and basements. This anti-fracture membrane (heated floor mats) achieves a 'high-performance' rating under ANSI A118.12 and an 'Extra Heavy' rating under ASTM C627 for high-traffic commercial use. At 1/4 inch thick, it minimizes finished floor height while delivering a seamless, professional result. Its polypropylene layer forms channels to embed NuHeat cable securely and functions as a vapor management solution, allowing moisture to escape. Compatible with thin-set mortars and subfloors including plywood, OSB, concrete, gypsum and cement board.

Tracking & Notifications
