Mode introduction:
Automatic shutdown mode: The start-stop eliminator will automatically shut down the start-stop function of the engine when the vehicle meets certain conditions. When the system detects that the vehicle is stationary and meets other preset conditions (such as seat belts are fastened, doors are closed, etc.), the eliminator will automatically send a signal to the vehicle control unit to stop the operation of the automatic start-stop function. This can avoid frequent engine starting and shutting down in some scenarios where the start-stop function is not needed.
Memory mode: The memory mode will record the owner's last setting for the start-stop function. If the owner manually turned off the start-stop function during the last driving, the eliminator will automatically maintain the start-stop function according to the memory when the vehicle is started next time, without the need to reset it every time, which improves the convenience of use.
Service mode: The service mode is mainly to meet the needs of vehicle repair, maintenance or special circumstances. In this mode, the start-stop eliminator will allow the automatic start-stop function to work normally. When the repair and maintenance work is completed, the eliminator can be switched back to other modes to restore control of the start-stop function.
Installation steps:
1. Remove the shift trim: Use a pry plate to pry the plastic decorative panel on the center console, and use your hands to buckle down the leather cover and lift it up to remove the shift trim
2. Remove the function button panel: Hold the function button panel with your hands, lift it up to remove it, and pay attention to check whether the metal clips on the panel are intact. If there are clips stuck to other parts, you need to unplug them and press them
3. Unplug the original car plug: Find the plug of the automatic start-stop function button, which usually has a small mechanism on it. Pinch the small mechanism and gently unplug the plug
4. Connect the eliminator: Align the corresponding plug of the start-stop eliminator with the corresponding pins or marks to connect and ensure the connection is correct
5. Restore the panel: Install the function button panel and shift trim back in the reverse order of disassembly
6. Test: Start the vehicle and observe whether the start-stop eliminator works normally. Generally, the automatic start-stop function should be automatically turned off within a few seconds after starting
