INTENDED USE The Blakmint brush is a reusable brush specifically designed to facilitate the cleaning of aligners, mouth guards, night guards, teeth whitening trays and retainers to reduce bacterial levels when used in conjunction with other cleaning/steralization products. INTENDED PURPOSE The intended purpose of the product is to facilitate cleaning of aligners, mouthguards, whitening trays, teeth grinding trays and gum shields to assist with removing dirt and debris from grooves and hard to reach areas, reducing bacterial count. INTENDED USER The intended users are those who use aligners/mouthguards/whitening trays on orthodontic journeys to straighten, whiten or protect their teeth during sports or preventing teeth grinding whilst sleeping. INTENDED ENVIRONMENT/SETTINGS FOR USE The devise is intended to be used in any setting required by the user to clean aligners/mouthguard; however, the setting must be clean. CONTRAINDICATIONS The brush should not be used for anything other than its intended use and is for external use only. Do not use if product is damaged or broken and ensure the product is clean before use. Do not bend or rotate the round brush head, as metal fatigue will occur, causing it to break. The functionality of the brush is not designed to bend or rotate. DIRECTIONS and PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION Remove brush from packaging tube. Inspect brush for damage. For first use, clean brush prior to use. Use the large brush head in a forward/backward motion to clean the external and internal parts of the aligner/mouthguard. Use the round brush head to clean the intricate grooves of the aligner. To operate the round brush head, place the thumb and index finger on the grip located on the main body and twist to rotate the head. Clean brush after use. Dry brush prior to storage. INSPECTION The brush should be inspected prior to use and replaced if: Worn Signs of chips, fraying, splintering Signs of rust Lose or missing bristles Brush head showing signs of detaching Any other damage is identified. STERILIZATION, CLEANING AND DISINFECTION The brushes are supplied nonsterile, you are advised to clean the brush after use to prevent bacteria harbouring. Ensure you sterilize/disinfect the brush between uses to remove bacteria. To avoid corrosion, do not immerse brush in chlorine bleach or acid solutions. PRODUCT SAFETY For external use only, do not place product in the mouth. Keep out of reach of small children. Allow brush to airdry prior to storage, replacing every 3 months maximum or sooner if damaged or bristles are worn for optimal cleaning. STORAGE Store in a cool dry place. Ensure brush Is dry prior to storage and avoid storing in a closed container to prevent bacterial growth. The supplied case is not for storage and should be used to transport the brush only. When transporting, ensure the brush is dry prior to placing into the travel case.
Directions:
Remove brush from packaging, inspect for damage, clean prior to first use, use large brush head for external/internal cleaning, use round brush head for intricate grooves, clean brush after use, dry before storage, replace every 3 months.
