Pros Wonderful! My doctor commented how beautiful my skin was during an appt and so did the ladies at a pedicure shop this weekend! Yes, you have to be PATIENT - like all new treatments to your skin, you have to give your skin a month to 6 weeks to adjust; yes, you may even have a minor breakout or two, but NOW - gorgeous smooth plump fresh glowing skin with no breakouts (maybe a clogged pore or two around my period). So be patient and keep those fingers off your face!

Do you test on animals? We don't test on animals (none of our ingredients are tested on animals either) We don't use animal by-products. Maybe that's why it feels so good on the skin. Have you seen the latest phrase that many manufacturers are putting on their labels? No animal testing on finished ingredients. Does that mean there IS animal testing on the raw ingredients? WOW! Or maybe that means the way they get their ingredients is not so pleasant for the animals their ingredients come from. OMG!

How long do I have before the guarantee runs out?

Can I continue using my other acne products with this? Heavens no! Those other products strip the good things out of your skin that our product adds and are too acidic. Mineral foundation is perfect for cover-up.

Why isn't this offered in stores? There almost isn't a day goes by that we aren't offered a 'deal' by another distributor (trying to get rich). Why don't you show before and after pictures?  Holding our price as low as possible is always a consideration. Almost all these people who appear in 'before' and 'after' pictures are paid. As a consumer, I always wanted to know if these people continued to see these results. Many acne products work well at first and then stop working. Also, I know that some people have good skin days and bad acne days. Did they take those 'after' pictures on a very good day? Remember, since these people are paid, they are motivated to look their best in 'after' pictures. Also so much can be done with makeup and of course pictures can be easily doctored or taken with 'soft' lenses. We just feel our posted feedback is a much more powerful testimonial. Do you believe those acne commercials?
Jay Leno had an actor on the tonight show in the spring of 2005. Jay asked him about how he got started in acting. He said his first job was in an acne commercial. Jay was surprised, since he had good complexion and was still very young. The actor laughed and said he had never had skin problems as a teen. He said they did the 'AFTER' part first. Then added blemishes with make up to do the 'BEFORE' shot.  He remarked about his mom being shocked when she saw him with 'acne'. I have no proof, but I believe many before and after pictures aren't real. 
 

Why is 'Fresh' important to an acne product?
Virtually all skin care products you buy are made in huge factories, millions of jars or bottles at a time. These factories are always located next to train tracks so they can receive their ingredients in train tank cars. Not so romantic is it? Much more time is spent designing the 'look' of the jar than the ingredients. Then these products go into storage and work their way through the retail system. It can take years for them to reach the consumer. So they have to load them up with preservatives and acids and be careful they use ingredients that won't go bad. BENZOYL PEROXIDE (active) 2%
Why is this not like all the other benzoyl peroxide products? Because all the other ones just use fillers for the rest of the product. This 2% helps to control the bacteria that causes acne. But so much more is needed to make it an effective product. If you follow our directions and wash after each scrubbing with the Natural soap, you will not have any allergies or stained clothing. We believe Benzoyl Peroxide works as a catalyst to energize the Natural ingredients. We have tested so called 'all natural products' and trust me, they aren't really all natural and they also don't work long term. Read on!

ALL other acne PRODUCTS  we know of uses SLS (sodium laurel sulfates) or artificial soaps. Since millions of acne sufferers are allergic to these SLS ingredients, we believe they have no place in ANY acne product. We get amazing emails right after their first treatment. Natural SHEA BUTTER; (Butyrospermum parkii) World renown for many incredible skin improving properties, but almost unheard of here in the USA. The Shea tree grows spontaneously in the wooded savannahs in west Africa (Ghana, Mali and Burkina Faso). The tree is stout, can grow up to 20 m high and its trunk can reach 1 m in diameter, bearing leathery oval leaves. It produces its first fruit when it is about 25 years old and reaches its full production at the age of 40 to 50. The fruit is harvested by the natives and hand processed to the finished butter product. Most Shea butter is commercially processed to remove the natural color and odor, or industrially extracted with hexane (a carcinogen). This yields more butter and is less expensive to produce, but it is odorless and white and has fewer of important qualities. The Shea butter we use is yellow and unrefined. Villagers in Ghana extract the nuts (which grow wild in the forest) by the traditional, solvent-free method, by grinding and heating, and pour the butter into a gourd shell.  Our bottler sterilizes it and filters it. But we use no chemicals to refine it.
GLYCERIN; is a humectant. This means it has the ability to draw water right from the air and bring it closer to your skin. We use a Kosher Variety made strictly from vegetables. Yes some companies use an Animal based product made from Animal Fat. Unless it says so, chances are most products have animal ingredients in them.
WALNUT SHELL POWDER, -Exfoliant, we use a special cosmetic particle size of English walnut powder (less abrasive than american walnut powder). Exfoliants remove dead skin cells and embedded dirt in the pores. This encourages the skin to produce new skin cells.
PROPYLENE GLYCOL, -humectant, helps bring moisture to the skin. Although this product has many industrial uses, it is very common in cosmetics and is even a primary ingredient in some teeth whiteners that dentists prescribe. It is also used in cigar humidors to help hold in the moisture. (For your information: radiator coolant uses Ethylene Glycol)
APRICOT KERNAL OIL; (Armeniaca vulgaris, Prunis armeniaca) Apricot Kernel is a light but rich oil which is especially good for sensitive skin, as well as for skin that is inflamed or dry. It can be used alone or as a massage oil and is used quite often in lip balms and creams. It is particularly helpful for dehydrated, delicate, mature or sensitive skin. It has a high vitamin A content.
STEARIC ACID: If you read labels (and since you're reading this, you probably do), you'll find this ingredient in many, many cosmetics and other products. It is really essential to help bind oils and waters together. Unfortunately most companies use a product made from animals. Yes most likely cows or pigs. YUCK! Plus they have to use a lot of fragrances, because that stuff stinks some kind of awful. We use a Kosher variety made strictly from vegetables.
CETYL ALCOHOL -emollient, and carrying agent. This is not a grain alcohol or rubbing alcohol. This is not drying.
ALOE VERA, -skin softening and healing properties
CORN MEAL -we could use a chemical to do this job of helping ingredients mix properly in the manufacturing process, as most manufacturers do. But why not use something natural? Yes this is just plain old ground corn meal.
MANGO BUTTER; (Mangifera indica) A luxurious Butter imported from India made from the seeds of the Mango Fruit tree. We use this butter purely for it's luxurious feel and absorbency. You'll only find this is the quality stuff, it's not cheap.
EMULSIFYING WAX NF, -this is a natural vegetable waxy binder which helps combine oils and water. Again, we could use animal based product here or Beeswax. But we have pledged not to use any animal based product.
HEMP SEED OIL; (Cannabis sativa) This is one of the more effective skin-care oils with a wonderful nutty smell. Hemp seed oil is derived from the seed of the plant Cannabis sativa, best known as the marijuana plant, and least known for its many productive uses. Hemp seed oil has none of the intoxicating properties of the leaves. Since hemp cannot be legally grown in the U.S., the supply of its oil is low and the price high. Hemp seeds produce a vegetable oil that is high in protein and can be used within a variety of foods and cosmetics. Alpha linolenic, linoleic and oleic acids–the essential fatty acids known as the omegas–make up 88% of the total fatty-acid content. Its moisturizing properties are absolutely magical. It adds important qualities that other oils are missing. Again, not a cheap product. This is not a filler. 
MACADAMIA NUT OIL (Macadamia integrifolia) This tree is native to Australia. Also known as Queensland nut oil, this cold pressed oil is high in palmitoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that acts as an antioxidant, preventing deterioration of cell membranes. For mature skin it is hydrating and gentle. It is a skin lubricant and is easily absorbed by the skin, sometimes described as a "vanishing oil." Helpful in cases of sunburn and wound healing. Can you see why we use it?
XANTHAN GUM vegetable sourced thickener
EVENING PRIMROSE OIL, -Works as a natural herb to help skin heal
ELDER FLOWER EXTRACT (sambucus nigra) -a natural healing Herb to help the skin repair itself. Ooh this stuff is good. Ever buy any? About $30.00 for 4 to 8 ounces if you can find it anywhere. We have a special source which provides us with a special concentrated version. 
CHAMOMILE POWDER  (Chamomilla recutita)-a powerful herb for skin healing, this helps reduce redness. This is another very important ingredient

Natural Essences:
SWEET ORANGE ESSENTIAL OIL, (Brazil)
LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL (France) We use the good stuff from France (yes the best Lavender is grown there).

CITRIC ACID a natural preservative and PH balancer
SODIUM CITRATE, -preservative and PH balance
Germall Plus® We use a non-paraben bactericide & fungicide: [it’s two ingredients are: diazolidinyl urea, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate (IPDC) and contrary to internet rumors this is indeed a vegetable derived product. There are no animal ingredients in it and completely safe.] 
Sorry natural preservatives are a nice touch as a back up, but we believe that real germ killing preservatives are necessary, when you consider this product is left in your  hot wet shower all the time. We use this preservative, because such a little amount goes a long way. We have heard about competitors bottles blowing up. This is due to poor preservatives and can be dangerous.

2: Midnight moisturizer for acne prone skin:
INGREDIENTS (we only use the finest)

Water: Reverse Osmosis Purified Water is a process that takes all the chemicals and solids out of water. Just about as pure as water can get. Most manufacturers use just purified water. I'm not sure how far they take the purification process. We take it all the way with the R/O process. Important? If you are drinking water your body can tolerate somewhat less than clean water. But when you are making skin care products the cleaner the water the better the products are. Ingredients just go together better. So why don't more companies use R/O Water? It's a fairly expensive process.

Golden Jojoba: Jojoba is very similar in composition to human natural skin lipids. Within a moisturizer, Jojoba penetrates the skin rapidly to nourish it and also softens and moisturizes skin. We use 100% pure jojoba, the extract of seeds produced by the jojoba plant from the southwest USA, which is expeller pressed, once. No solvents are used during this process. Jojoba is sometimes called "jojoba oil" but it is technically an extract. It’s not an oil at all but a liquid wax ester. Jojoba tends to be expensive because it can take nearly 1200 trees to produce one pound of Jojoba nuts, which only yield 50 percent oil.  5 gallons costs us over $250. We buy it by the 55 gallon drum, almost $3,000

Macadamia Nut Oil: (Macadamia integrifolia) This tree is native to Australia. Also known as Queensland nut oil, this cold pressed oil is high in palmitoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that acts as an antioxidant, preventing deterioration of cell membranes. For mature skin it is hydrating and gentle. It is a skin lubricant and is easily absorbed by the skin, sometimes described as a "vanishing oil." Helpful in cases of sunburn and wound healing. it's about $150 for 5 gallons.

Squalane: This is a precious extract of olive oil. This is not the olive oil anyone could afford to cook with. Squalane is a remarkable extract found in olive oil. It is a non-irritating, protein rich, moisturizing agent with exceptional skin softening properties. In fact, it is one of the most effective moisturizers ingredients available. Squalane is rich in vitamin A, thus helping with improving suppleness and resiliency of the skin. In addition it helps to prevent the formation of brown age spots.  Because of its "light as water" consistency, it is absorbed quickly and deeply in to the skin with no oily film. Plus it gives our moisturizer a silky feeling. Not a lot of companies use this oil. 5 Gallons costs over a $1000.

Meadowfoam Seed Oil: Meadowfoam oil is used here due to its stability, lubricity and ability to stay on the skin. Meadowfoam Seed Oil's skin feel is distinct from many other natural oils. This is due to the novel chemistry of its fatty acids, which contain more carbon atoms than fatty acids common in most edible oils. As a result, Meadowfoam Seed oil provides good emolliency without being overly greasy. 5 Gallons costs us over $400

Emulsifying Wax: is a vegetable wax. Used to combine the water and oils in True moisturizers. Most moisturizers today aren't made like ours. They are mostly oils (usually not very good oils)  and thickeners like Sea Weed (Algin, Kelp) and Xanthan gums. Which means technically they aren't moisturizers. An additional problem is Sea Weed derived thickeners have Sulfurs in it. A known allergen and in certain chemical states a pollutant.  

Stearic Acid: This is also a vegetable wax, used to not only combine oils and water into a moisturizer, but also makes this moisturizer creamy.
Germal Plus: Paraben free, vegetable derived preservative.
Green Tea: Also great skin regenerative properties.
Lavender: Natural essences of. We do not user fragrances.

3: Daytime moisturizer for acne prone skin:
INGREDIENTS (we only use the finest)

Reverse Osmosis Purified water

Castor oil (Ricinus communis L) This oil, derived from the castor bean and obtained by cold pressure, is rich in fatty acids and very moisturizing and lubricating to the skin in general. It acts as a humectant, attracting moisture to the skin. Rated extremely very low in Comedogenicity and Irritancy. Factors used to rate oils for their likelihood to cause acne due to allergies.

Jojoba Oil. (Simmondsia chinensis): Jojoba is very similar in composition to human natural skin oils. It penetrates the skin rapidly to nourish it; also softens and moisturizes mature and dry skin. Jojoba helps to heal inflamed skin conditions such as psoriasis or any form of dermatitis, helps control acne and oily scalps. Produced from the jojoba plant which is expeller pressed, once. No solvents are used during this process. Jojoba is sometimes called """"jojoba oil"""" when it is actually an extract; it’s not an oil at all but a liquid wax ester. It’s gentle enough for newborn babies; soothes and restores elasticity to any dry skin area yet does not make oily skin feel oily. Rated extremely very low in Comedogenicity and Irritancy.

Babassu: (Orbignya martiana, O. oleifera, or O. speciosa), a/k/a Babacu, Coco de macaco, Aguassu. Babassu is a big palm tree about 20 meters high native to the rain forests of Brazil. Babassu oil is cold pressed from the kernel which contains about 72% lipids (in weight) and is ultra-refined w/o chemicals. Rated extremely very low in Comedogenicity and Irritancy. Perfect for acne prone skin.

Sunflower Oil (Helianthus annuus): It contains vitamins A, C, D, and E, a high linoleic acid content, and few saturated fatty acids. This oil is easily absorbed and can be used on all skin types. Its high vitamin E content makes it especially helpful for delicate and dry skin. It has a protective effect on the skin and is healing when applied to leg ulcers, bruises and skin diseases. Rated extremely very low in Comedogenicity and Irritancy.

Evening Primrose Oil (Oenothera biennis): Extremely helpful in treating eczema and psoriasis; useful in treating allergic skin problems. Its healing action results from its high content of gamma linolenic acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid that is vital to cell and body functions and not produced by the body itself.  Rated extremely very low in Comedogenicity and Irritancy. Again all these oils are perfect for acne prone skin.

Additional ingredients used to put all this together. Some copy cat moisturizers sold on ebay use thickeners like Zanthan Gum (which we use in our acne product) and sea kelp (Algin) to bind oils together.  They aren't true moisturizers and won't have the same benefits as the ingredients we use to actually combine oils and water in a stable solution.

INGREDIENTS (we only use the finest) in our Regeneration: anti-aging moisturizer for acne prone skin:

Water: Reverse Osmosis Purified Water (R/O), makes for a virtually pure water. Most moisturizers and skin care products call the water they use 'purified'. Purified is not Reverse Osmosis. When we first started using R/O water many years ago, I couldn't believe how well the ingredients 'meshed'. Even our technical people couldn't really explain it to me. Plain 'purified' water still has contaminants in it. The big problem with R/O water is: it is expensive (lots of filters) and wasteful. Several gallon of water is used to make one gallon. Rather than sending this down the drain we use the 'waste' water to water our landscape.

Olive Oil Squalane; This is a precious extract of olive oil. At about $200 a gallon, this is not the olive oil you ever could afford to cook with. Squalane is a remarkable extract found in olive oil. It is a non-irritating, protein rich, moisturizing agent with exceptional skin softening properties. In fact, it is one of the most effective moisturizers available. Because of its "light as water" consistency, it is absorbed quickly and deeply in to the skin with no oily film.

Broccoli Sprout Extract. What the heck is a food product doing in a moisturizer? Broccoli Sprouts are probably one of, if not the most healthy foods to consume. But there has been some interesting lab research showing Broccoli sprout Extracts when applied to the skin help the skin avoid cancer from excess UV exposure. This isn't a sunscreen, but seems to help the skin recover from too much sun exposure. So what's in it? Sulforaphane Vitamins A, B, C, E and K Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc Carotene, Chlorophyll, Amino Acids, Trace Elements, Antioxidants, Protein

Sea Buckthorn Oil. This is now the most expensive oil we work with. The highest quality Sea Buckthorn oil costs about $1000 a gallon. We use Russian oil derived from the berries. This version has the highest concentrations of palmitoleic acid, carotinoids (including a high level of beta-carotine), tocopherols, alcohols, (vitamins A, C and E). Provitamine A. It has remarkable healing properties. Great for fine lines, wrinkles, scars (of course deep pitted scars usually are usually permanent), discolorations.

Stearic Acid. This is also a vegetable wax, used to not only combine oils and water into a moisturizer, but also makes this moisturizer creamy.

Germal Plus, Vegetable derived preservative.

Green Tea. Also great skin regenerative properties.

Rose Otto.  This gives a slight Rose smell. So powerful only a tiny amount is needed. Real Rose petals steam distilled. It takes a great deal of roses to make one ounce.

The details about our natural soap:
In order of prominence (exact percentages are top secret, even our employees don't know) we use
1. Coconut oil,
2. Soybean oil
3. Rice Bran oil
4. Olive oil(most soap makers use Pomice grade, we use the pure grade, which is one step higher)
5. the above oils are converted to soap by use of sodium hydroxide(also known as soda ash or lye- which is derived from salt,- this ingredient does not remain in the finished soap, it's considered a catalyst which means it facilitates the changing of oil to soap). This is a process called saponification. This is how natural soap has been made for centuries. Except we use expensive, precise scales measured three decimal places to make our soap consistently perfect every time. all soap has to be made with a catalyst. Artificial soaps such as shampoos use acids to convert the oils, such as hydrochloric acid.

We also add skin softening ingredients(emollients):
6. Natural Shea butter(a special not processed version we buy direct from Africa),
7. Apricot Kernel oil
8. Castor oil.

most natural soaps are shipped within 2 to 3 weeks. we use a special unique process that slows the curing of the soap. this makes our soap special, but means it takes almost 2 months to cure. that gives us the ability to add double the amount of skin softening ingredients (like the shea) than other soaps. so rather than drying, our soap moisturizers the skin without making it oily. thanks

OK, WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE NOT IN YOUR PRODUCTS? WHY?
No sulfates. Not only are these ingredients damaging to the environment but many people are unknowingly allergic to them. Often they are listed as sodium laurel sulfates. But there are dozens of similar ingredients, including cocobetaine. I read ingredient labels constantly. Recently in the home improvement store I noticed a mosquito spray for the yard. It was listed as 'all natural'. One of the 'active' ingredients was Sodium Laurel Sulfate. Funny something that kills mosquitoes is in your shampoo and it is a real stretch to call this artificial soap 'natural'.

PARABENS: methylparaben, propylparaben, and others
More and more people are finding they are allergic to these preservatives. For some people this allergy mimics acne. In other words for some people these preservatives actually cause what exactly looks like acne acne. If you see a lot of redness between the blemishes, this could be apart of your problem. We use more expensive Non-paraben preservatives. 
Lanolin: This is made from the Sebaceous Glands of Sheep (that should be good enough to not use it) plus many people are allergic to it.
Anti-foaming agents: Silicones, also known as Dimethicone
The labeling laws are so lax in this country it isn't even required to list this ingredient, unless listed as a benefit. Ever seen a commercial for Gas-X? Dimethicone is the active ingredient. These chemicals make production easy. No foaming to worry about as the bottles are filled (our bottles have to be hand topped off after settling). But these anti-foaming agents, though not dangerous, leave a film on your body. You just won't believe how clean our products make your skin feel. No Phthalates: Ever wonder how most products can last years and years on the retail shelf? There's this secret almost unpronounceable ingredient called Phthalates. Dozens of toothpastes sold at supermarkets are at the centre of a cancer alert today.
Anti-bacterial cleaning products, including dishwashing liquid and handwash, are also affected.

Since it is so important to talk about being green now, in the past we have always avoided mentioning what we do in this arena. Seemed like bragging to me. it seems as though, just about all products must have a green statement today. Here we go.

• As you can imagine, we use a lot of very hot water. Not only for production, but also for cleaning our stainless steel equipment, since we don't use any dangerous cleaning compounds. We have a solar hot water system to heat our water. This is free hot water! We're in Florida. The sun shines all the time. It's a no-brainer.
• I mentioned we don't use any dangerous cleaning compounds to clean our equipment. We use our natural soaps and high pressure very high temperature water to insure no bacteria remains. This is very important. Many companies use dangerous cleansers. Which not only pollute the water runoff, but remain on the equipment, poisoning the next batch of products they make. We only make our products in our equipment. We do not farm out our production facilities to companies who use inferior or animal derived ingredients. I know this may seem like a small issue, but the artificial soaps and other poisons as cleansers seem to have a life of their own. They are extremely difficult to remove. They are not allowed in the production area. EVER!
• We use recycled peanuts and foam for shipping.
• We don't print out or even send out paper invoices (unless you request one). You get an email invoice when you order (you can easily print it out) I see no purpose in mailing a separate sheet of paper. We have just about gone paperless here. We also encourage our suppliers to email us, rather than mail, invoices.
• We use Florescent light bulbs everywhere. Again this can save a good bit of energy over the years.
• Our A/C unit is one of the new High SEER 'Freon free' units. We do live in Florida, but whenever possible the A/C is off, we utilize attic fans that bring in fresh air and cool the attic.
• We buy environmentally responsible ingredients, even when sometimes they cost more. No Palm oils. No long named unpronounceable ingredients.
• We haven't gone PV yet. The ROI are such that I believe it's still a few years away. I am excited about the new technology in this area that is coming fast. When it does make sense for us we will do it.
• We recycle.
• We limit our water usage. I have an eagle eye for saving energy (and that is money), so we can keep our products affordable. 
• Results? Well we continue to grow our business, our energy bills have not risen but actually dropped a bit. Want to solve the energy crisis? Invest in these measures and you will also reduce your footprint. If every new home and business just merely added a solar water heater, the energy saved would be enormous. I realize some of this stuff is just a no-brainer. But if all of us did more of more no-brainer stuff like this, I sincerely doubt we would be in this energy fix were in right now.
