There are so many types of shower cover on the market, but how to choose the suitable one? What the difference among plastic ring cast cover, neoprene shower cover and silicone shower sleeve?
Blue Plastic Ring Cast Cover
1.If you live alone and need to shower by yourself, you can choose plastic ring cast cover. One hand pull up the rubber to the ring edge , you can take it on and off easily.
2.The diameter of each plastic ring is fixed. This means you need measure the circumference of your cast or brace, avoid it is too tight or small to pass over.
Neoprene Shower Cover
If you have sensitive skin or allergy to rubber, you can choose neoprene shower cover. We use imported neoprene(Same as wetsuit material), and the thickness is 3mm, not easy to deform. Comfortable to wear
Limited elactisity. Knee immobilizer or thick cast/splint may not fit. Please measure the circumference of your bandage or brace and take reference of the size range we provide.
Silicone Shower Sleeve
1.The upgraded silicone has good softness and elasticity. You can pull the seal band as wide as you can. Thick cast and boot and immobilizer can easy to pass over. Snug fit on your leg, no worry of falling off even though the big motion.
2.Due to the feature of silicone, it builds the tight seal on your leg. This means you still can't wear it too long because it still have the risk of cutting blood. Becare of the sharp item, it will cause tear on the silicone band. For limb like arm and elbow, you can't put the cover on by yourself. if you limb is swollen, please ask someone for help. And control your shower time with 15 minutes.
There is no absolute good or bad for each shower cover, but you can choose the one that suits your best.
