We use this bolt for the intake manifold, early style, all aluminum. However Ford also says this bolt will retain the oil cooler on certain models so you need to do your own research!

believe these bolts fit the F150, 250, 350 and also the E150, 250, 350.
All that equipped with the 5.4L 2V engines model year up-to 1999 (with
aluminum 2pc intake manifold) but just measure your bolt first. This
bolt is 1-9/16". I carry a longer bolt that fits the later 2000 and-up
5.4L 2V engines in another listing.
These
bolts should fit the 1999 and earlier Ford trucks & vans with the
5.4L engine with an aluminum manifold, not the later plastic composite
manifold. We carry those bolts in another listing.These are the bolts to
hold the manifold to the head. This style manifold is a 2-piece design
with a lower plenum. These are not the bolts to hold the upper manifold
to lower plenum. We may have those bolts in another listing. Contact me

do I know if these will fit my application? They are listing to fit
up-to certain 1999 5.4L engines that use the "all aluminum" intake
manifold. The best way to also confirm proper fitment is to measure one
of your intake bolts. These bolts are 1-9/16" (41mm) in length. See the
photo shown above against the tape measure. We also carry longer version
for the later 2000 and up 5.4 2V engines. We also carry the smaller M6
bolts for the later model 5.4L 3V engines as well. Contact me for

This
listing is for 2pc bolts at a time. For those who may have lost or
broken just a single bolt or just a few we may still have another listing. These bolts are hardened metric bolts to mount the
older
style aluminum intake
manifold on many 5.4L equipped trucks. These are the bolts that hold the
intake to the heads. This bolt has the preferred small head (10mm hex)
just as your originals. May also fit many 4.2L motors as well. Please
review the pictures I have included and compare to your originals. They
show the new style bolt and
measurements. Generally if the bolt you are replacing is within 1/4" of
this length you most likely will be OK. You can check with me and I can
attempt to locate the recommended bolt prior to your purchase. We also
do special order request.
This
bolt is an M8-1.25, grade 9.8
hardened bolt with a rust resistant finish. It measures approximately
1-9/16" long behind the head (41mm). This is an upgraded style of
this bolt that has a hex head with a flange. Generally no need to use a
washer. This bolt has a
much better finish than the original bolts. We have seen many selling
this bolt
for as much as $10 per bolt. If you
are changing out your intake manifold (for the common coolant leaking
issue) it is a great idea and piece of mind to replace as much of the
old rusty hardware as possible. They will install much easier and help
provide the important even torque across the manifold. Also if you found
rust or corrosion in the threads, use a thread chaser or tap in threads
in the head to clean out the threads before you reinstall. Size is
M8-1.25x41mm.

different angles and against a
tape measure for you to compare to your original bolts. This kit is
being setup to use
on the pre 2000 model 5.4L SOHC (2V) engines with the 2-piece aluminum
intake manifold, not the later plastic manifold. This bolt may fit other
applications
including some of the 4.6L engines. Compare to your size. If within a
couple of
mm it will most likely work for your setup but use your best judgement. A
list of trucks that use the same intake manifold is below. You should
see your model listed. Contact me if you need some help or have any

UPDATE: Need thermostat housing bolts?
We
frequently have the long bolts available that retain the thermostat
housing in another listing. Those bolts are approximately 90mm long and
also retain the lower intake manifold. When they do sell out they are
normally only 3-5 days out. Contact me for assistance.
TIP: Follow toque sequence for your manifold. They want you to install it in at least 2 steps (18 in-lbs, & 18 ft-lbs). We have found the final toque listed at 18 ft. lbs. but confirm the spec for your intake manifold.

All that equipped with the 5.4L 2V engines model year up-to 1999 (with
aluminum 2pc intake manifold) but just measure your bolt first. This
bolt is 1-9/16". I carry a longer bolt that fits the later 2000 and-up
5.4L 2V engines in another listing.
These
bolts should fit the 1999 and earlier Ford trucks & vans with the
5.4L engine with an aluminum manifold, not the later plastic composite
manifold. We carry those bolts in another listing.These are the bolts to
hold the manifold to the head. This style manifold is a 2-piece design
with a lower plenum. These are not the bolts to hold the upper manifold

do I know if these will fit my application? They are listing to fit
up-to certain 1999 5.4L engines that use the "all aluminum" intake
manifold. The best way to also confirm proper fitment is to measure one
of your intake bolts. These bolts are 1-9/16" (41mm) in length. See the
photo shown above against the tape measure. We also carry longer version
for the later 2000 and up 5.4 2V engines. We also carry the smaller M6
bolts for the later model 5.4L 3V engines as well. Contact me for

This
listing is for 2pc bolts at a time. For those who may have lost or
broken just a single bolt or just a few we may still have another listing. These bolts are hardened metric bolts to mount the
older
style aluminum intake
manifold on many 5.4L equipped trucks. These are the bolts that hold the
intake to the heads. This bolt has the preferred small head (10mm hex)
just as your originals. May also fit many 4.2L motors as well. Please
review the pictures I have included and compare to your originals. They
show the new style bolt and
measurements. Generally if the bolt you are replacing is within 1/4" of
this length you most likely will be OK. You can check with me and I can
attempt to locate the recommended bolt prior to your purchase. We also
do special order request.
This
bolt is an M8-1.25, grade 9.8
hardened bolt with a rust resistant finish. It measures approximately
1-9/16" long behind the head (41mm). This is an upgraded style of
this bolt that has a hex head with a flange. Generally no need to use a
washer. This bolt has a
much better finish than the original bolts. We have seen many selling
this bolt
for as much as $10 per bolt. If you
are changing out your intake manifold (for the common coolant leaking
issue) it is a great idea and piece of mind to replace as much of the
old rusty hardware as possible. They will install much easier and help
provide the important even torque across the manifold. Also if you found
rust or corrosion in the threads, use a thread chaser or tap in threads
in the head to clean out the threads before you reinstall. Size is
M8-1.25x41mm.

different angles and against a
tape measure for you to compare to your original bolts. This kit is
being setup to use
on the pre 2000 model 5.4L SOHC (2V) engines with the 2-piece aluminum
intake manifold, not the later plastic manifold. This bolt may fit other
applications
including some of the 4.6L engines. Compare to your size. If within a
couple of
mm it will most likely work for your setup but use your best judgement. A
list of trucks that use the same intake manifold is below. You should

UPDATE: Need thermostat housing bolts?
We
frequently have the long bolts available that retain the thermostat
housing in another listing. Those bolts are approximately 90mm long and
also retain the lower intake manifold. When they do sell out they are
normally only 3-5 days out. Contact me for assistance.
TIP: Follow toque sequence for your manifold. They want you to install it in at least 2 steps (18 in-lbs, & 18 ft-lbs). We have found the final toque listed at 18 ft. lbs. but confirm the spec for your intake manifold.
