Freeze Dried weight is approx. 4 oz. If rehydrated, each ounce of freeze dried cheese will weigh approximately 3 oz.   Perfect to take Hiking or Camping, they need no refrigeration.  Great to have on hand in your pantry, they stay shelf stable for years if kept in their original packaging.
How to eat this product

Freeze Dried Cheese does not need to be re-hydrated.  You can add this cheese to soups, casseroles or any of your meals and the moisture of your food will re-hydrate the cheese. They can also be eaten as a crunchy snack.  No refrigeration necessary.  This is a great item to have in your pantry for those times you forgot to buy cheese for your dinner.  If you would like to rehydrate it, just place the amount of cheese you need in a bowl and cover with cold water.  Wait a few minutes until the cheese absorbs some of the water, drain off excess water and use the freeze dried cheese as you would fresh cheese.
