Pinus radiata is by far the best pine bark there is on the market and in the 35 years we have been growing orchids and aroids, we have tried a lot of bark! Isn't all pine bark the same? I wish I could say yes, but the answer is a resounding no. New Zealand Pinus radiata grown produces a much thicker, harder and structurally sound material ideal for potting and repotting that breaks down much slower than pine bark grown in other localities. Orchiata bark is also allowed to age naturally which results in an even stronger nugget which does not break down as fast as regular bark, most of which is processed while still “wet” Orchiata is also coated with Dolomite, which is a natural mineral that contains calcium and magnesium. Research shows dolomite addition to substrates is very beneficial to plants. Dolomite is added to Orchiata to: #1 - Stabilize the substrate by increasing the pH to within a range of 5.5 to 6.5 which is ideal for plants #2 - Prevents salt accumulation #3 - Provide the minerals calcium and magnesium, which provides a much needed boost to plants recently repotted. Tracking & Notifications

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • In-store returns are refunded to the original form of payment or issued as a gift card.
