Substral snail grain Limex Ultra is a highly effective ready-to-use bait product, which protects fruit, vegetables and ornamental plants against harmful snails. Furthermore, there is no waiting time between application and harvest. The bitter substance and the blue colour of the grains counteract accidental ingestion by children or pets. Substral snail grain Limex Ultra protects hedgehogs, birds, bees and other beneficial insects. The agent contains the mineral active ingredient iron III phosphate, which complies with the requirements of the EU eco-regulation idgF for ecological / organic production. Soil creatures transform it into iron and phosphate and thus enrich the soil with these plant nutrients. Substral snail grain acts over the feeding activity. After picking up the baits, the snails retreat to hiding places in the ground where they die and are decomposed.

Instructions for use:

Spread around the crops to protect against harmful snails. Do not sprinkle the grains directly on the plants/leaves, but apply evenly to the ground. Treat the entire area around the plants to be protected, do not place in poops. The application is most effective in damp and mild conditions, i.e. the weather in which the harmful snails are highly active. Since slugs are predominantly nocturnal, it is recommended to sprinkle the snail grain in the evening. The tested rain resistance of the agent is up to 10 days. Apply in the snail season from spring to autumn (March to September) as soon as first damage to the plants is visible. Spread the baits evenly at the bottom at a distance of approximately 8-10 cm. Do not lay out in heaps. Do not apply to the leaves of plants.

Time of use: March to September. At the beginning of infestation or when the first symptoms/harmful organisms become visible. As soon as the first damage to the plants is visible. Total no more than 4 uses per culture and growing season/year. Time interval of treatments at least 10 days.

Application period: from the 2nd leaf or leaf pair or leaf whisk unfolds to 50% of the leaves discoloured or fall off.

Waiting times:

Vegetable crops/fruit crops: (F) The waiting time is covered by the application conditions and/or the growing time that occurs between application and use (e.g. harvest) or the setting of a waiting period in days is not required.

Ornamental plants: (N) The setting of a waiting period is of no importance.

*Vegetable crops: to protect against food damage to above-ground plant parts. ** For infestation reduction.

Area of application (home and allotment garden): vegetable crops* (vegetable growing), outdoor field; fruit crops (fruit growing), outdoor field; ornamental plants, (ornamental planting) outdoors.

Harmful organism: slugs; housing snails

Application rate/application type: 1 g/m2 or about 40 grains per m2 between the crops/spread evenly over the stock.

Instructions for protecting the user:

Avoid any unnecessary contact with the product. Abuse can cause harm to health. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Do not eat, drink or smoke when handling the product. Long-sleeved shirt, long trousers and solid footwear wear when applying/handling plant protection products.

Instructions for the protection of the environment: The product is classified as non-hazardous to bees up to the highest application rate or application concentration specified by the authorisation if an application rate is not provided (B4). The agent is classified as non-harmful to populations of relevant beneficial insects, predatory mites and spiders. The agent is toxic to vineyard snails. In the event of vineyard snails (Helix pomatia and Helix aspersa), the agent must not be used. The use of the agent in or directly on above-ground waters or coastal waters is not permitted (§ 12 paragraph 2 PflSchG). Regardless of this, the minimum distance from surface waters as stipulated by country law must be observed. Violations can be punished with a fine of up to 50,000 euros. Do not allow the agent and/or its container to enter water. (Do not clean application devices in the immediate vicinity of surface waters/prevent indirect entries via yard and road drains). When opening, please hold the box diagonally backwards to prevent accidental spilling of the granules.

Storage: Store cool and dry in sealed original container. Protect from frost. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. As the use of this agent is beyond our influence, we assume liability only for consistent quality.

Disposal: Dispose of contents/container with any product residues at collection points for household chemicals. Pour empty pack to the recycling collection.

First aid: take off dirty clothes and clean before re-use. In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately thoroughly with plenty of water, even under the eyelids, if necessary consult a doctor. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the packaging or label.

(D) Eliminate the unused product, its packaging and all other waste (such as the plastic film for floor protection) in a suitable disposal cycle according to local regulations. Do not dispose of the unused biocidal product in the sewer system (sinks, toilets, etc.), in the gutter, in water courses, in the open field or in any other external area.

Tracking & Notifications
