➊During a power outage, the breaker interlock kit safely directs generator power to any circuit in your home, so you still have electricity available in your home.
âž‹When using generators, follow National Electrical Code requirements and require generator interlocks to be installed on circuit breaker panels. Interlock kits protect utility workers during electrical repairs.
➌It is very dangerous to use utilities and generators at the same time. the generator interlock switch can prevent the utility and generator power from being turned on at the same time, avoiding circuit load burnout or generator burnout, etc.

-Generator interlock kit consists of two sliding metal plates held together by three bolts.
Installation steps:
Step1. Power Off Power off, place the bottom plate(holes only) EXACTLY as shown and then use the pen to mark holes through the bottom plate's holes.
Step2. Drill Holes Remove the panel cover from the breaker panel and drill the three holes marked on the panel cover using the supplied 3/16'' drill bit.
Step3. Install Interlock Insert the screws from rear of cover, install the bottom plate and top plate on the front cover of the breaker panel. Please make sure that the top plate can be pulled freely (enough space).
Step4. Test The Interlock As shown, you see that the main breaker is ON, the generator breaker is OFF and can not be switched ON. The inter lock has been properly installed. Lastly, apply all labels on electric panel.
