- This impeller is an original Johnson Pump SPX Flow Sweden product. Unlike cheap Asian counterparts, the original SPX FLOW impeller from Johnson Pump: a correct cooling current, a significantly longer service life, excellent self-priming capacity, sufficient cooling immediately at start
- Thus, due to their construction, pumps with flexible impeller can promote relatively large solids. When the flexible impeller shovels come into contact with the cam again, they bend and the liquid comes out of the pump in an even flow. Liquids can be pumped upside down.
- Correct wheel dimensions thanks to the unique MC97 rubber compound in SPX Flow wheels ensure maximum service life, especially when the end user does not start the engine regularly: constant pressure supply over time, minimal fatigue failure, minimal swelling, direct cooling at start

These pumps have been developed for a variety of marine applications and have proven themselves in terms of quality and reliability. - For general raw or fresh water applications, the standard durable neoprene rubber impeller is used. A general feature of all pumps with a flexible impeller is that they must not run dry for more than 30 seconds. Both the impeller and the seals are dependent on water for lubrication and will soon fail when running dry

When the blades of the impeller are pressed down and bounced back, they create their own vacuum that sucks liquid into the pump. A dry Johnson pump can lift water up to 3 metres. Thus, a flexible impeller pump, which is used for engine cooling, does not need to be arranged under the water line or manually sucked in.
