Schmincke Soft Pastel - Art Supplie Extra Soft (Made in Germany) Extra Fine - Artistic Quality - Art Supplie Extra Soft (Made in Germany) Extra Fine - Artistic Quality Brilliant Colours, Soft Like Silk and Satin. The unusual formula, which guarantees a uniquely strong colour finish, also requires an equally unique production process: traditional craftsmanship. The work with Schmincke pastels takes you back to the origin of the colour. Our round pens are made from only the finest artist pigments (without chalk!) And a minimum amount of binder. The binding agent content is so low that the medium ground pigments reach a stable bond. Traditionally made pastels. In this traditional and time-consuming process, the pre-kneaded dough is first formed into round strands with a snail press, which are then removed by hand and cut into wire frames to the correct length. The sticks are still damp and need to air dry for 8 days before being hand labelled. Machine production of our pastels is not possible due to the particularly fine formula - the expensive sticks could break. The uniformity of quality and softness throughout all production cycles is crucial, which means artists know that the colour is always the same quality.

Tracking & Notifications
