Scarlet Espresso Milk Thermometer "Professionale"
With the Barista milk thermometer, you can easily monitor the temperature of the milk during frothing. Why the temperature is so important? The milk should not be heated above 70°C, as from this area its complex protein structures are destroyed and the milk foam therefore collapses faster. This not only looks unsightly, but can also cause taste impairments.
This thermometer is a great tool for coffee lovers to heat the milk at optimal temperature and produce stable, fine-pored foam for refining coffee specialities. Coffee latte, cappuccino, latte coffee and all your favourite hot drinks can now only be enjoyed with perfect milk foam!
This thermometer is also good for temperature control of brewing water for preparing filter coffee. Our recommendation is not to brew at 100°C, but with 90°C water temperature.
As usual with thermometers of this design, the cover glass of the temperature scale is not waterproof. Therefore, please do not use the dishwasher, but simply clean with a damp cloth.
