We’re more than stoked to introduce the Original RC Raceworx Pit mat in Battleship Gray with ‘Privateer Blue’ accents.

Color Ways: We’ll be offering all Pit Mats in a new Cool Gray base color with Blue, Green, Black and Magenta accents for the logos and icons. Version 2 accent colors will include Green and Black, and the Original accent colors will include Blue, Green and Magenta.
Version 2 will offer the same great rubber construction as the Original however in a larger size and a change to the ergonomics layout. Version 2 will be 23”x48” in size. Version 2 will feature flush logos and icons as they were placed in the raised area of the mat. This will achieve a sleeker look. We went with a 23” depth as some work benches are made a little short on depth.
Larger work area for Version 2. The work area for version two is large enough to fit a truggy with room to spare, two 8th scale buggies fit side by side no problem. More pictures of car and work area to come soon.

The rubber is flexible and moves without much effort. This allows the mat to lay on uneven surfaces, makes it easy to handle and roll-up for using at the track.
Captive compartments can control parts and tool/component organization and movement. The compartments allow for ease of mind knowing your parts will not be rolling off of the bench.
Fluid control is also possible when using your mat for oiling/refilling parts or cleaning parts. The captive compartments help control fluids so they do not spill onto the bench or floor. They’re only so deep, so please use discretion.
The mat features a tacky bottom to help promote friction between the mat and the workbench surface. This feature helps keep the mat in place during use or cleanup. The friction also helps the mat become a part of your bench and one less item to secure or worry about moving during use.

We kept it simple, we used rubber. The rubber blend we chose is flexible so it can be rolled up easily, is soft to the touch with a matte non-slip top finish. One benefit of this material is that there is no nasty rubber smell that you get from other similar products.
The biggest benefit of the rubber construction is that it helps prevent parts from taking a nifty bounce off of the bench, and helps to avoid any harsh work surface contact with your project parts or tools. We all want to keep those fancy coatings nice and fresh!
