PPUK Stove rope and Rope Seal adhesive are used for sealing and jointing purposes where a high temperature product is required. It is commonly used to seal around stove doors and when joining flue systems to appliances. PPUK glass fibre rope seal is manufactured from continuous filament ‘E’ type glass yarns which have been mechanically bulked to increase the loft. ‘E’ type glass fibre offers the best thermal resistance of the types available and the bulking process creates an end product which is light in weight yet still very efficient as an insulator. The basic fibres are lightweight, resilient, incombustible and possess a high degree of mechanical strength. PPUK stove rope is suitable for operation in temperatures up to 600 degrees C depending upon the particular application. PPUK stove rope is resistant to oils, most chemicals and solvents and is unaffected by bacterial growth. PGS.10 is constructed from a thick glass yarn wall coupled with a stranded centre glass yarn core. It possesses excellent handling and flexibility characteristics and is ideal for use in dry, static sealing applications involving hot air and combustion gases. How to use: It's easy to apply. Firstly, remove the door usually held by two pins remove your old rope and ensure you clean the channels in the door thoroughly. Check the length of rope you need but remember, some trimming maybe needed. Apply the adhesive (sparingly) to the channels on the door and push the rope into the channel and onto the adhesive I would advise using weight to hold the rope in place on the corners whilst the glue cures (can take a few hours) , wait until the glue has set before refitting .
