A reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field that provides a switching signal in conjunction with your alarm system or other applications.
NO means normally open: the circuit conducts when the magnets are disconnected, and the circuit does not lead when the magnets are plugged together.
NC means normally closed: when the magnets are together, the circuit lines, when the magnets are disconnected, the circuit does not run.
How to install:
1. Preparations according to the type of door sensor (e.g. embedded holes, fixed points, etc.);
2. The door sensor should be installed in the closed position of the door/window/drawer.
3. The magnetic part is installed in the moving part, the switch part is installed in the fixed part; the switch part and the magnetic part should be aligned as much as possible.
4. The door magnet should be kept away from strong magnetic field interference sources such as the transformer, otherwise the functional performance of the door magnet will be affected, and incorrect action signals may occur.
