To measure changes in hair quality and growth, investigators used a high-resolution camera coupled with computerized methods to objectively determine the status of the hair over time. At the end of the 12-week study duration, women in the high dose group experienced a significant increase in hair thickness compared to both the placebo and low-dose groups by comparing the percentage of terminal to vellus hair.*
