to be as close to your desired outcome as you can be with slight adjustments. An experienced taxidermist should be able to adjust the system with the materials provided to accommodate most deer antlers.
Can I modify the Naked Buck HeadTM?
You certainly can! With the planning, measurements and correct tools you can modify the system to even better accommodate your needs. Check out the instructions page for ways to achieve the best outcome.
Does Naked Buck HeadTM replace a professional antler mount?
No. There truly is no perfect replacement for a professional antler mount. We understand taxidermy is an art form. But to
have multiple shoulder mounts created for each antler set would cost thousands of dollars. Our mission is to give you another option for displaying your trophies. We understand that having the fur tight around the pedicle rim is super important and our system allows for that. Some minor visual flaws may occur upon antler transition but typically don't impact the quality of the display.
What about angles and measurements being unique?
Our system allows you to modify angles to achieve unique measurements by installing a simple screw within the pedicle base. These very minor adjustments in the slightest of angles can make a dramatic difference.
Can I retrofit your unit within an existing mount?
Yes, and we think you'll find it well worth it! We recommend you seek the assistance of a taxidermist if you aren't one though, as a good retrofit does require skill and we want you to be happy with the final mount.

Tracking & Notifications
