Mxcalifa hour meter is a very good wireless time counter. Using double-sided tape, the installation is limited to only a few seconds. The motor is detected on the basis of the vibrations which are transmitted towards the device. The hour meter is completely waterproof and is designed for extreme conditions, such as for off the field.
This hour meter have 2 configurations, the High sensitivity and the Low sensitivity to avoid problems with bumpy roads with some really crappy suspension on your truck or trailer .
Setup it is easy with only one button ( S ), the user manual have all details and it works on all gas engines (including newer fuel injected four cycle engines)
The device has two hour meter functions. It stores the total elapsed time (no resetting is possible) and the part-time (can be reset) such as maintenance intervals (Kolb notes, etc.). The included battery has a life span of about 5 years with normal use.
10 seconds after the engine start switches on the hour counter and starts counting.
