How To Grow:
Prepare the Soil:
Sow your Balsam seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Use seed trays filled with a quality seed-starting mix.
Sow the Seeds:
Choose a well-drained garden bed amended with compost. Space plants 10-12 inches apart to allow for growth.
Water Gently:
Lightly mist the soil to keep it moist but not soggy. Cover with plastic until germination occurs, usually within 7-14 days. Regularly water your plants, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged.
Provide Adequate Light:
Place the trays in a warm area (around 70°F/21°C) and ensure they receive bright, indirect sunlight or use grow lights.
Transplant:
Once seedlings develop 2-3 true leaves and are hardened off, transplant them outdoors after the danger of frost has passed.
Hardiness zones:
Perennial: Balsams thrive as perennials in USDA Hardiness Zones 10-11.
Annual: In Zones 2-9, they will grow as annuals, providing vibrant blooms throughout the growing season.
Blooming times:
Balsam flowers typically bloom from mid-summer to early fall, with their colorful blossoms lasting approximately 6-8 weeks before fruit sets in.
Height & Spread:
Expect your mature Balsam plants to reach heights of 12-36 inches with a spread of 12-18 inches, creating a lush and lively garden display.
Watering & sunlight requirements:
Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry spells, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings.
Sunlight: Balsams prefer full sun to partial shade, thriving best with at least 6 hours of sunlight daily.
Seed viability & storage:
Balsam seeds remain viable for 2-3 years. Store them in a cool, dry place in an airtight container to extend their lifespan for future planting.
How to collect seeds:
After blooming, allow the flower heads to dry on the plant. Once completely dried, gently shake or rub the heads to release the seeds, and store them as mentioned above.
Mulching & Garden additives:
To keep your Balsam plants healthy and thriving, use organic mulch such as shredded bark or straw. This helps retain moisture, suppress weeds, and improve soil quality as it breaks down.

We primarily use USPS and UPS for U.S. deliveries. Items shipped from international warehouses may be handled by partner carriers depending on the country of origin.


Import Duties & Taxes

All import duties and taxes for goods imported into the United States are included in the product price. There are no hidden fees or additional charges at checkout.


Tracking & Notifications

Every order is fully trackable. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If your order ships in multiple packages, each package will have its own tracking number. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation immediately, your order is still being processed and will arrive within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout.

Order Changes & Cancellations

If you need to modify or cancel an order, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. Orders can only be canceled before they ship. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible, but you may request a return after the item is delivered.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • In-store returns are refunded to the original form of payment or issued as a gift card.
  • Mail-in returns using our prepaid label are refunded to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after we receive your return.

  • 5–7 business days for the return to reach our Returns Center.
  • An additional 3–10 business days for your bank to post the refund to your account.
