Each factory sealed record cleaner system comes with a plastic storage case, also includes a small brush for cleaning the large felt record cleaning brush. Original MRC-2 Instruction Manual
Features:
Dust and dirt deposited on the record surface have a tendency to gather on the stylus resulting in sound distortion. At the same time, this dust in the grooves accelerates wear on the stylus and creates surface noise on the record (and amplified through your system).
The Le-Bo record cleaning brush will eliminate most of the wear and surface sound by keeping the surface of the record clean.
The material used on the MRC-2 record brush has a soft, thin texture which allows easy access to the record groove. By holding the brush perpendicular to the center of the record, and following the rotation of the record on a slightly outward motion most of this debris will be removed.
Directions For Use:
1) Moisten the sponge on the bottom of the case with a few drops of water or any quality record cleaning solution. This dampness will prevent static electricity.
2) Be sure to squeeze the sponge after wetting it.
3) After using the record cleaning brush, remove the dust of dirt collected by using the small brush supplied in the case. DO NOT USE YOUR FINGERS TO CLEAN THE LARGER BRUSH.
4) After use, air dry the sponge and brush and put back into the case, taking care that the pile of the felt cleaner is not compressed.
Optional Cleaning Instructions
Wet Method Cleaning Using This Brush:
On leading edge of brush use 3 drops of record cleaner fluid. One drop near one end of brush edge, another drop on the other end of the same edge and one drop of fluid in the middle of the edge. As the record is rotating, place that wet edge of brush on record for 4-5 rotations making sure to slightly coat entire record with the fluid then slowly rotate brush towards the dry edge of brush for several record rotations making sure to dry the record and picking up dust at the same time.
