Installation steps:
Start by opening up the back lid/Trunk
There is a plastic trim piece in the that you need to remove. It can be easily removed by hand but you can use a decorating tool if you prefer.
There are two rubber grommets on the inside of the trunk lid, remove those there are two studs with nuts in those holes. There are a total of five nuts (10mm) that need to be removed, they are very visible. Make sure to unclip the electric light connector and back wiper hose before removing the wing/rear spoiler.
Testing the New Light: At this point you can test the new light to make sure it is working properly. Close the wing cover: Close the wing cover and gently pull out the tail/rear spoiler, you may need to wiggle it a few times.
Once you have the wing/rear spoiler out you'll see four nuts (8mm) to remove in order to get the brake light out.
Install the new brake light: Install the new brake light in the reverse order of removal. There is an arrow on the part indicating the "up" direction when installing.
Electrical connector installation: When installing the new electrical connector, you can use a wire pull tool to help pass through the small space inside the rear wing to make installation easier.
